Really slow to respond to troll reporting!

The M&S/Aiden/water/sea monster troll comes back every day. Most of us can spot them really easily. Today they've been back wanging on about bison and animal breeding. It's so obvious it's the same person, yet their posts have stayed up for hours. If we can spot them, why does it take MNHQ so long to confirm that it's the troll and delete the threads? Do you not all talk to each other about reports that you're getting in, and/or your own suspicions?

I'd like to know how they are able to keep creating account after account?
Maybe there needs to be stricter rules on first posts or something?
It's every night now, so tedious.

Long delays before deletion also lead to more troll-hunting, which I know that you (MNHQ that is) don't like. It also results in the more naive (or those who don't see trolling as a problem) engaging with the OP, which encourages them further.

I'm fascinated by this troll. I'd love to know what went wrong in his life that lead to this behaviour.

So what if the poster rattles on about water being poisoned by the queen? Everyone knows it's nonsense and actually it's quite funny sometimes.

Hi @BIWI we're extremely busy (or is it bisony) today, which means we're not getting to reports as quickly as we'd like to.

We can spot this one right away - today their threads are not staying up for long - do you mean the one from yesterday?

This troll is bloody weird though. Imagine spending your weekends doing this!

It's not funny.

There are threads that wish harm on animals.

Threads that are incredibly ableist and nasty to disabled people.

When you delete them I'm guessing they can't sign up with the same email address? Are they creating email address after email address to troll mumsnet? So bloody weird.
