Quoting cuts off comments

Just noticed that using the quote function means that your comment (as well as part of the quoted comment), is cut off - so it just looks as though you quoted the comment but made no reply. I've seen it on other threads today and assumed people had pressed the quote function by accident but it's definitely a thing!

Ooh I'm getting this too, thought it was something to do with ios update and deleted and reinstalled the app but it's still happening. Driving me potty

Hi there @RoachTheHorse. No firm news as yet we're afraid. Our developers are looking at the issue now though and we're hopeful they'll have something soon. As soon as there's any news we will post in site stuff and let everyone now.

Could you not just disable the quoting function until it’s fixed? It’s made the app unusable.

also, will any fix go back and rectify all the older posts that were affected? Otherwise you’re going to have hundreds of unreadable posts/threads there forever. In which case you might want to put a warning saying that the thread has to be read outside the app to make sense.

We're still in the process of releasing a fix for this one but it shouldn't be too much longer now. We're really sorry that it's taking a while! We'll update as soon as we have more information.

It's really really intolerable and I can't quite believe it's still not sorted. I've had quoted replies to my posts and I have no clue what has been said because the whole thing is cut off.

Do you have a timescale on this? Honestly I can't believe such a huge bug has rolled out and hasn't been fixed. It really is hard work following a thread when half the comments are cut off.
