Blank lines at the top of every page

It’s been like this since the update (which generally I prefer) and I assumed it would be sorted. It hasn’t , so I wondered if anyone else sees this on every page?

iPad, Safari

I have gaps. I assumed it was the ad blocker that was on my new phone as that's when I noticed it about 2 months ago.

No hurry. I’m not too bothered about getting the sponsored threads back!

I’ve left it on a page for ages to check and nothing appears/ populates

Any update on this?

We think these are slowly appearing for most users after a recent fix so they should appear soon.

They appeared briefly for me a few days back, but it didn't last...

If they aren't back by Monday, can you let us know?

Are you able to see if it's the same case for a different browser?

All that have happened to mine is that they have got fatter. These lines are too fat.

Chrome on Android

I don't use any other browser I'm afraid. Just Safari on my Mac

I normally use chrome on android. Just tried with the built in Samsung browser and the top lines filled in a few seconds after the ones below, so does seem to be browser specific.

Doesn’t work on safari or chrome. I don’t use any other browsers (although sponsored threads sounds as bad as blank lines - I ignore them anyway).

Blank lines still on whatever browser I use. Along with ghostly pm's still, that haven't been adressed.

We're not too sure why your lines haven't appeared yet so we don't have an update other than that we are still looking into it.

With your mysterious PM, did you receive an email or is it a notification on your inbox icon?

Mine have been blank since the upgrade earlier this year; they've never populated. I just scroll past and occasionally wonder what I've missed ...

@LilyMumsnet my blank lines are there, and have been since the re-vamp. I don't know if I am missing text, or just have a big ole empty space! I have 2 messages showing as being pm's in my inbox, but they aren't there. Other pm's have been read around them, and are deducted from the Ghostly Two. Ie, if I get a real pm, it shows as 3 messages, then if I read the one that is real, it goes back to showing 2 again.

There are two possible reasons this could be happening... If you take a look at this SS thread, KatyMumsnet explains that we had a recent glitch to do with ghost notifications and very old PMs showing up again. Please take a look at the thread for more information.

The other reason could be that the PM was sent by a spammer, and has been automatically removed by us at MNHQ. We're taking a closer look into this now but in the meantime we're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

This is happening to me too. Also, it’s taking ages for pages to fully load. If I scroll down a page as soon as I reach the bottom of the pages I’m having to wait for posts to load. It’s making reading Mumsnet an absolute pain. I’m using Safari with no add blocker.

There’s some work coming up for pinned threads that we think will solve this problem.

If you aren’t using an ad blocker and aren’t seeing the threads and ads load at all (even after waiting), you may not have consented to ads & personalisation. You can do this by clearing your cache on Chrome and doing the following on iPhone/iPad and Mac.

When you do this, you will be logged out of your Mumsnet account and you'll need to log back in again and re-consent to cookies and personalisation.

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet’ into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’
Head to Mumsnet & select Accept and Close on the cookie pop-up

Macs
Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet’ into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’
Click ‘Done’
Head to Mumsnet & select Accept and Close on the cookie pop-up

So, I cleared all my cookies last night, and the posts came back. But, just like every other time I've cleared the cookies, the posts only stay for a day or so. I'm back to blank lines at the top. I'm not using an ad blocker. I'm accepting whatever boxes come up. Chrome on a mobile.
Same Google account, using Chrome, on tablet, and the pinned posts are present - and have been for a week or so
