Pages freezing and can't be refreshed

Chrome on a laptop.
If I walk away to do something else for a while and then come back to a mumsnet page, I find it frozen. Refreshing doesn't do anything and the page remains unresponsive. I have to close it and start from scratch.

This had been happening for a few days, and only with mumsnet. What's going on?

'chrome isn't responding, do you want to x wait x close'

On android, constantly freezing and giving this message. I can get away with 'wait' the first time but after that I have to close it by hitting the x repeatedly at which point my phone freezes until the whole app shuts.

It's endlessly frustrating.

Can we please check if you're using the mobile site or the android app?

Still getting Aw, Snap! and seems to be getting worse, maybe?

This time the page had hardly been open long at all (20 mins I think, it's always been well over an hour in the past).
