It makes the site completely unusable.

(Safari, iPad, desktop, iOS 14.6)

so we can observe what is happening

you click something, anything, and the cookie consent appears. It you click the back button the "access denied" message seems to appear in the box instead.

There really isn't anything to observe 😂

"Click anything that makes the page reload" that should be.

I’m giving up with MN now, it’s not worth the hassle and frustration. Every single thing you click on, it pops up. Such a shame.

Folks · 21/04/2022 12:02

Oh my god this is infuriating.

andymumsnet · 21/04/2022 13:19

We think we've identified the issue. If you follow the instructions below the consent pop up should stop appearing once you've reselected your preferences.

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

Macs
Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’
Click ‘Done'

Thanks to @LadyGardenersQuestionTime for taking the time to help us troubleshoot, and apologies again, hopefully we've got it sorted now.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 21/04/2022 13:28

Thank you, that seems to have worked.

toastofthetown · 21/04/2022 13:30

Thank you, that’s worked for me!

RedLeggedChuff · 21/04/2022 13:38

That did the trick, thank you

Ulysses · 21/04/2022 13:58

I'm back in business. Thank you Smile

SoFriendless · 21/04/2022 16:19

This has worked for me while I’m on the site, but if I click off and come back it’s popping up each time I return. Any ideas?

SoupDragon · 21/04/2022 16:24

Praise the lord! Much as I love cookies, I'm glad to see that box gone 😂

Snowiscold · 21/04/2022 18:56

I think those steps have worked for me.

Everydaydayisaschoolday · 21/04/2022 19:45

Made no difference on mine.

gothicsprout · 21/04/2022 20:21

Didn’t work for me sadly, still getting the endless cookie consent requests and access denied message if I click back.

iPhone 8, iOS 14.8.1, Safari

Directorlevelmaybe · 21/04/2022 20:38

Endless cookie consent here. It’s horrible it’s on every page on mumsnet. Every single time I click anything.
