Cookie consent every single time I click anything

It makes the site completely unusable.

We're really sorry this is still an issue - we're trying really hard to get the bottom of it. Sorry to ask (as I know how painful it must be to have to click consent the whole time) but it would be really helpful if you'd be able to post the following:

  • The device you are using plus the model
  • The operating system you are using plus the version
  • The browser you are using plus the version

We're also messaging some of you direct (and can help determine this if none of this info is readily available to you).

Sorry again - we will get it sorted I promise!

We think we've identified the issue. If you follow the instructions below the consent pop up should stop appearing once you've reselected your preferences.

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

Macs
Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’
Click ‘Done'

Site is an absolute joke with this Manage Consent pop up. Every click I make it pops up. I’ve kept coming back ever night to check if it’s been fixed.

Hi @LaundryandDirt - sorry you’re having these issues. It’s down to the fact that we’ve moved to a consent management platform that allows people to “reject all” rather than having to click through each cookie individually. There is a fix for the problems you’re experiencing - does the following work for you?

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

Macs
Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’

Sorry to hear that some of you are still having issues using Chrome. Can you please follow the steps below and let us know if this helps? The options available are different depending on the device you are using.

Computer - Delete specific cookies

On your computer, open Chrome
At the top right, click More ⋮ > Settings
Click Privacy and security
Cookies and other site data
Click See all site data and permissions
At the top right, search for Mumsnet
To the right of the site, click Remove
To confirm, click Clear.

Android - Delete specific cookies

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
Visit Mumsnet.com
To the right of the address bar, tap More ⋮ > Info > Cookies.
Next to the number of cookies in use, tap Delete

iPhone &iPad - Clear all cookies

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
At the bottom right, tap More ⋮ > Settings
Tap Privacy > Clear Browsing Data.
Tick Cookies, Site Data. Untick the other items.
Tap Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data.
Tap Done.
