Ads covering half the page!

I browse mumsnet every day, but today it’s been a real struggle as the adverts cover half the page. I’m posting this thread in the hopes that mumsnet see it and could perhaps help with the problem? (I’ve seen people do this before and have had mumsnet commenting on their threads)

It’s really starting to ruin my experience with mumsnet which is a shame as it’s one of my more favourite pastimes! If it helps I’m using it on the Safari Browser on my IPhone

In ye olden days someone from MNHQ would have responded already.

Gave up trying to even post a one line post on another thread. It's horrendous. Gigantic photo of Fiona Bruce of all people. Couldnt even tell what the advert was for so it was a bit pointless.

Yeah this is too much MN! I don’t block your ads and I don’t begrudge you the revenue, after all how else would we have the site. It’s just unusable like this

Me too! Only just started tonight. On an iPhone, using Safari.

I can’t even see the little x in the top right of the ad, so it’s impossible to close it.

Yep me too. iPhone using safari. Get the random woman in the red cap and the top half of the head of an old lady. No idea what they’re selling. No way to close them. Just can’t use the site like this.

I was just going to post this exact same thing! What a nightmare! I know they want us to pay for "premium" for fewer ads, but COME ON. I'm using Chrome on Android as well. I've got an ad blocker on my laptop, but is it possible for mobiles? I thought it wasn't?

It's completely unusable.

I’m having the same issue. There is no x to delete the ad or anything to click on to report the ad covering content. I’m on an iPhone. I changed browser from mobile to desktop and the ad is gone but it’s not ideal using desktop on a mobile phone.

Yes - it’s just started. If I have my phone vertical it’s half page. Horizontal - ad covers whole page. I will have to stop using mumsnet if it is not fixed

Same here! The pages keep crashing or don’t load properly!

I first noticed it when they did the site update a few weeks back, ( this could be coincidental) I hope HQ are reading this thread because I hardly come on here anymore due to it not loading and also due to some poor woman’s face taking up 3/4 of the screen

I have both of those and a young lady in a cap!! 😆 at least they could have put Tom Hardy on my ads, nothing against the lovely 3 ads above but If I can’t access the website I’m logging on to at least I’ve got Tom staring back at me ( half naked or totally naked would be acceptable too )

I've been having this one and it's deeply off putting being stared at while trying to read!

And between these huge one and the banner ads, at times it's impossible to move the page!

I'm not using the site again until they're removed!
