Ads covering half the page!

BlueBeeSpots · 07/04/2022 22:57

I browse mumsnet every day, but today it’s been a real struggle as the adverts cover half the page. I’m posting this thread in the hopes that mumsnet see it and could perhaps help with the problem? (I’ve seen people do this before and have had mumsnet commenting on their threads)

It’s really starting to ruin my experience with mumsnet which is a shame as it’s one of my more favourite pastimes! If it helps I’m using it on the Safari Browser on my IPhone

I’ve attached a screenshot too to help explain the problem I’m consistently having

Thank you

I have the same issue

Choopi · 07/04/2022 22:58

I'm having the same issue this evening too. I'm using chrome on an android phone.

BlueBeeSpots · 07/04/2022 23:01

It’s awful isn’t it? I hope it’s just a temporary problem Sad

It’s horrendous. Can’t hardly see what I’ve typed. The mahoosive images don’t even seem relevant to anything either 😕

ilovetomatoes · 07/04/2022 23:04

Awful

Robin843 · 07/04/2022 23:05

Same here, really intrusive.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 07/04/2022 23:07

Yup me too

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 07/04/2022 23:08

This was mine and I couldn't even see what I was typing for this

Redshoeblueshoe · 07/04/2022 23:08

I've got one that is taking up 3/4 of my screen and I can't get rid of it

It's bloody annoying!

IsItMimi · 07/04/2022 23:09

Me too, using chrome on an android

Me too

Brokenfurnitureandroses · 07/04/2022 23:15

I am going to stop using this site if I have to look at these ridiculous huge photos. And I won’t be clicking on the links cos they are hugely annoying.

Rinoachicken · 07/04/2022 23:17

Me too - did wonder if it’s a deliberate ploy - make the ads more annoying to get more people to pay for premium to get rid of the ads. I really hope that’s not the case.

If it doesn’t get fixed I won’t be using mumsnet for much longer - it unusable like this. Can only read a few lines of text at a time with ads taking up the rest of the page.

TheChosenTwo · 07/04/2022 23:21

Came here to see if anyone else was experiencing this inconvenient advertising - problem is, I can’t even tell what the advert is for so it’s just useless all round!

AlexanderHamiltonsleftshoe · 07/04/2022 23:29

Same.

This site is like reading through a letterbox. And as others have said above (although I can’t read it) I can’t actually see what the stupid ad is for, all I get is an image that doesn’t move followed by a grey square. It’s actually the opposite of advertising!

Fiefofum · 07/04/2022 23:31

Same! Safari iphone. I still also keep getting pages crashing from struggling to load ads ever day as well.

LadyBadenPowellsHat · 07/04/2022 23:32

Ditto. Chrome, android. Getting irritated

HomeprideSaucy · 07/04/2022 23:33

Yep, here too. But not on every thread, interestingly.

GroggyLegs · 07/04/2022 23:38

I'd heard people complain about this, but never had an issue until tonight.
I'm on Android chrome.

I don't even know what this woman is selling!
