How does Mumsnet decide who is and isn’t a troll?

I set up a new account because I want to stop using this one (too many outing threads that DH may come across), started a new thread this morning, and within an hour my thread was deleted and I have been banned, with no communication. Surely you would see that the IP address is of a well used account, so why ban without communicating? What do you actually investigate? Do you just decide that if there is a new thread by a new user that quickly becomes popular, it must be a troll and they must be removed?

If a poster only wants an answer directly from MNHQ then they should email directly. If you post on site stuff then you have to accept that there is a chance some fucker is gonna rock up with factually correct information.

Just to say @WomanStanleyWoman I would've so needed you on my thread on Site stuff where most of the posters not only answered the question with non-answers but were snarky, horrible and some were downright disgusting for daring to ask that question. One called me unhinged, etc just because I said I wouldn't dish out the gossip (the reason for the question). Where were you then to call them all head girls and more? Could've used that.

@FlibbertyGiblets and a couple of posters were stars on that thread and stood up for me. Therefore, she's my Head Girl here and I won't take any bad word against her.

And there's nothing wrong in what she said. She quoted the rules. I didn't read as a "head girl" stance.

Also, site stuff is filled with posters answering OPs. Why have a problem with this one?
