Showing my email address instead of my user name

When I use mumsnet on my laptop it is showing my email address instead of my user name under "Add your message here". I use Firefox.
I have to manually change it to my user name on every thread I respond to.

Any idea why this is happening?

I am also using Firefox on a desktop.

I'm having the same problem today.

I use Firefox.

If I backspace, the correct username repopulates.

I have had the same for a few days (and use firefox) so I have to remember to change it every single time I do a post otherwise my anonymous email address is available to all. I am glad I am not the only person in the same boat. This is on my desktop using firefox.

Why is this happening ?

Ramp that is useful to know. So far I have been manually changing it each time.

Highlight the email address, then press delete, the screen name will then appear.

Hi, we've had a look into this and made a change to the username field to try and stop browsers auto filling details. Could you please let us know if you are still seeing the issue? And if so which browser / device.

Firefox on laptop. Still showing my email address.

I just came off firefox and then went back on .,It is still showing my username as my email above which I will change before posting. I think there was a new version of firefox - an automatic download - last weekend. I did not really think anything of it at the time but may be that was the problem.
