What do you think? Free up actual AIBU for the petty gripes of old, get rid of the AIBUs relating to the pandemic?
It could have the voting and everything!

That was the exact response you put on a thread I posted towards the end of last year suggesting that all COVID related threads be moved to the COVID topic. And nothing has happened.

I frequently report threads to suggest they be moved, some are, but most aren’t.

Is it possible that MN HQ actually quite enjoy the amount of traffic that COVID related discussions bring to the site?

I just wish that non-AIBUs that are posted in AIBU are moved to the relevant sections, usually Chat (so fed up of it being crammed with random stuff like "AIBU to ask for breakfast ideas"). But most of the time, when reported, they aren't and there doesn't seem to be any continuity amongst moderators either. I've had one mod say they only move threads when the OP asks and another mod simply move them. Why have sections at all when so many people post non-AIBU in there and turn it into another Chat 🙄

A sticky at the top could address all of the following and nobody would need to post!

Why haven't I been offered a vaccine?

I don't want a vaccine.
I only want a specific brand of vaccine.
Should I have a vaccine?
The vaccine system is not the way I would do it.
Ha ha, the UK is amazing and Europe is shit.

I think that covers most of it.

Because the whole point of there being a Coronavirus topic was so that people could hide the whole damn thing and not have it shoved in their faces at every turn. People are shoving things in AIBU rather than Coronavirus because they want the voting option.

Just ignore them. Plenty of threads of no interest to me but I don't start a thread and make it a big deal.

We're trying to strike a balance - and if you think we're getting it wrong, there's still the option for you to hide any individual thread if you prefer not to see it.
