Getting this on ipad safari

Click away, come back, there it is.

There's granular consent and granules of granular 😂

Still very annoying. How difficult can it be to fix it?

QuitMoaning · 11/01/2021 08:11

It just appeared for me and I couldn’t dismiss it unless I used Back. Rouser button (safari iPad).

This makes the site unusable.

Halsall · 11/01/2021 08:56

Just clicked on a MN tab I'd kept open overnight and got the cookie message again.

Over the weekend I also had QuitMoaning's experience of not being able to dismiss the message when I pressed 'submit' - had to close the tab entirely in the end.

As before, iPad + Safari.

Halsall · 11/01/2021 09:53

....and it’s just happened again on my iPhone. Also Safari.

I’m very, very fed up with this now. Please sort out a ‘reject all’ option too.

This.

If I login on a different device, are the cookie preferences then specific to that device or my account?

littlbrowndog · 11/01/2021 11:37

Still happening. iPad safari

LeSangeEstDansLarbre · 11/01/2021 13:28

Still happening very frequently, on iPad with safari.

Whatever you’re doing to fix it, please include a ‘reject all’ button. Over the last few days I’ve done a lifetime’s penance in turning off fecking radio buttons.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 11/01/2021 15:04

Hello everyone. Thanks for your continued patience. We quite understand if it's running out..

[Update - we're checking what we can do wrt editing the consent form]

Your details should be remembered until you clear cookies. It might show every time you visit the site if your browser automatically clears cookies - can we ask you to please check in your settings if this is the case? In Chrome it's under Settings - Privacy & Security and on Safari it's Preferences - Privacy.

This shouldn't happen page by page or in the same session and so we're continuing to investigate. In the meantime, please keep letting us know here when it happens as it all helps us figure it out.

Also - please note if you're browsing in incognito or private mode your cookies won't be saved.

SunshineCake · 11/01/2021 16:28

I find that very hmm re Google. There must be a better way. Unless then own you now.

littlbrowndog · 11/01/2021 16:41

Mine safari is fine. Not set to auto block cookies

silverstarfish · 11/01/2021 17:35

My browser definitely doesn’t auto clear cookies - I stay logged into all websites with no problems.

And I am not browsing incognito or in private mode. I am browsing how I’ve always done, and none of my settings have changed.

It’s an issue with this site only.

I am only having issues with this site. And it’s still happening.

silverstarfish · 11/01/2021 17:36

I should add I’m not even closing the tab with mumsnet on it. If I even click onto another tab and go back to the mumsnet tab it brings the box up again, with all cookie settings forgotten.

CarryOnFestiveNamechanging · 11/01/2021 17:49

My experience is exactly the same as SilverStarfish

CarryOnFestiveNamechanging · 11/01/2021 17:49

Ive just refreshed the page and its done it again!
Twice in less than 30seconds!
No point bothering with the site whilst this is happening
