thank you

OP posts:
ScaryMonsterStories · 25/10/2007 21:19

I think my colour is old MN colour...I have selected it from the bottom - there were 3 colour scheme oprions. an aqua one, a 'normal' MN one and a white one.

It may be subtley different but I can't tell the difference.

woodenchair · 25/10/2007 21:20

Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but can we have the blue text back. I'm finding the black on white a real strain on the old eyes.
apart from that, oh yeah and the zzzzz's, love it!

Just had a quick scan and it looks like others have mentioned it, so I'm another vote for the old colour scheme.

wheresthehamster · 25/10/2007 21:20

Thanks Tech.

Have just spotted the 'ignore' at the end of each thread in active convos - brilliant

RoyKinnear · 25/10/2007 21:23

the 'ignore' malarkey...do i have to check each thread i want to ignore and then have it glare at me in read??

where is the old check box - i ONLY ever ignore for sale

ScaryMonsterStories · 25/10/2007 21:24

The old MN coulours (including blue links) are available as "Mumsnet classic" at the bottom of the Customise talkboard page.

ScaryMonsterStories · 25/10/2007 21:25

Roy

Go to Customise Active convos.

You can chose which topics to ignore.
You can chose to ignore spcific threads in addition to this.

Pidge · 25/10/2007 21:25

I think it's rather whizzy.

Tech - I hope you've gone off to sink a strong beverage of your liking. This is reminding me of when we fling our code into system test and they all start screaming "whaaaaaaaaaaaat!", only with added hyperventilating and expletives.

Mind you 'flip' doesn't seem to be doing 'owt, but I'm sure it's just a temporary glitch

Jas · 25/10/2007 21:27

I've just tried clicking individual threads to ignore, and that is coming up undefined value too

wheresthehamster · 25/10/2007 21:27

The ignored thread only appears in red once, when the screen is refreshed it is gone

WideWebWitch · 25/10/2007 21:31

Aaagh, no, I've only read about TEN posts on this thread and now if I want to read more I have to CLICK A FKNIG >>>> button. I don't WANT TO.

WideWebWitch · 25/10/2007 21:32

NO WAY will I EVER read to page 1 of a 19 page therad

vile, vile

but no-one will read this because it'll be on page 17 before you know it

it wasn't broke...

welliemum · 25/10/2007 21:32

Jas, same as you again - I can't ignore individual threads either.

Any idea why tech?

Jas · 25/10/2007 21:33

You don't have to WWW. Go to the top of the page, chose customise talk and then chose mumsnet classic, and it will return to (almost)normal

sheepgomeep · 25/10/2007 21:34

colour scheme awful it really really hurts my eyes.

No pages for me too.

I've got no problem with login in to customize talkboard only my login now seems to expire if I leave it for a shortwhile then I have to go back and customize it all over and over again which is very time consuming .

Tis very annoying

sheepgomeep · 25/10/2007 21:35

oh this is strange I'm either logged in or I'm not

popmum · 25/10/2007 21:35

www - click on customise talk board and 2nd option, choose last choice and it will be as before

welliemum · 25/10/2007 21:36

www, take a deep breath and click "customize talk board"

It will all be fine

Another thought tech, maybe there should be a huuuuuge "RETURN TO MUMSNET CLASSIC" button somewhere prominent in red for any panickers?

oliveoil · 25/10/2007 21:37

IT'S HIDEOUS

owwwww my EYES

Jas · 25/10/2007 21:37

welliemum

It is just you and me having this problem then, I guess?

WideWebWitch · 25/10/2007 21:39

I DID Choose mn classic , it's still dong it, i want to cry
I can't read anything
boo hoo, I am the boo hoo mummy

I feel so so pathetically sad about it but we have been out for dinner and I drank wine so it is all emphasised

hellyberry · 25/10/2007 21:39

can't find a positive thread to post on, so here is a positive comment. which may be pure coincidence: MN is finally running click fast for me. After years of delay before loading threads, it's now like a hot knife through butter.

Magic. Thank you.

If it's coincidence, take the thanks anyway. Good set of customising choices supplied.

wheresthehamster · 25/10/2007 21:40

I'm not seeing any MN profiles - is it just me?

welliemum · 25/10/2007 21:41

Looks like it's just you and me Jas. In the New Mumsnet everyone else will be having these fab conversations while we wade tiredly through acres of buggy ads.

Jas · 25/10/2007 21:41

Click on the name of the poster, wheresthehamster. They are still there

NormanBatesFletcher · 25/10/2007 21:41

Oh I like most of this

I have been able to set my default as flipped - tech you stud muffin geek, you are fab

But I am sure that the colour has changed even though I chose classic??
