Don't know if this has been mentioned - but before the recent changes you could, for example, tick the "without buying/selling" box and "active conversations" would always open without buying/selling, even if you weren't logged in. Now it seems you have to log in first before your preferences are adhered to - or have I missed something? (Sometimes I just lurk for a bit before logging in - usually when I feel like posting - and I'm finding it a bit daunting to be faced with the "unedited version" of active conversations as soon as I open the page!

I can't seem to find " Mumsnet Local" on the list of topics I can ignore. Is it theresomewhere?

I want to ignore a thread, but I cannot see the button anymore. Where has it gone

Bloody hell....spent all this time trying and trying again to start a new convo to see if it was working now.....just noticed the new area!!! So not so urgent but the button below either needs fixing or removing.

tech, why dont i get a box at the top with op in it when i view threads. except the site stuff ones. possibkly two others?

Is Unanswered Threads buggered?

When I first go onto active convos, all threads I haven't read are in blue and those I have read are in purple - think this is how it always was....?
Anyway, as soon as I click onto a thread all text within posts (including links) is in black and active convos is also in black for unread threads, though still purple for threads I've been on.
Is this right? It looks horrible.

ahem now that I have found my way around the new layout... I love it! (particularly since I removed the unprintable new blue and have been playing with the ignoring function)

However.... I have another suggestion... would it be possible to have the topics listed in alphabetical order in the "search for messages" area?

What's not to like - I now ignore 40 topics! Huzzah!

Not sure if it's been mentioned and it certainly isn't an important one but thought I'd let you know I'd not this quite a bit......on a lot of threads it will say x number of messages within thread but when you go into the thread, there's actually only y messages.

Told you it wasn't important! Thought I'd say tho.

Probably not important but RE: IGNORING STICKIES

when you set your preferences to ignore stickies they still come up when you first hit active conversations

so you can then go to threads I'm on .. but next time you hit active conversations there are the stickies again and you have to refresh it again to get rid of 'em
