"There's been new updates on the AIBU poll"

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/01/2020 19:36

I've started getting these emails when (presumably) AIBU polls I've posted on are updated.

I find them irritating and don't want them, but there is no obvious way to turn them off.

Having the same problem here, it's very annoying

MountainPeakGeek · 17/01/2020 20:04

Likewise! I checked my email preferences and they're still all opted-out, so how do I stop this spam?

larrygrylls · 17/01/2020 21:27

Me too

Smelborp · 17/01/2020 23:31

Ah, just saw this post. Yes, I hate these. Awful.

TinyPaws · 18/01/2020 07:40

I've unsubscribe to all emails but am still getting them, very annoying. I'll start marking them as spam.

SpoonBlender · 18/01/2020 09:33

Just came here to start the same thread.

And why on a Friday night, Mumsnet people? Never make a change on a Friday night, it pisses off the poor sods who have to deal with the fallout. (hi poor sods, hope you have a good weekend!)

UniKittie · 18/01/2020 10:25

Same here, all email notifications unsubscribed but still receiving them.

DeltaFlyer · 18/01/2020 10:40

Yes I've got the same it's super irritating.
I clicked on the preferences section on the bottom of the email and I'm still opted out and there is no obvious place to opt out if this rubbish

MsVestibule · 18/01/2020 11:19

Me too! I checked their email opt in/out options but there isn't one. Seriously, I have zero interest in whether a poll has changed.

And is 'There's been new updates
on the AIBU poll' even grammatically correct??? Surely it should be 'There've been...'.

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/01/2020 11:30

Please MNHQ MAKE IT STOP!!!

You are spamming us Angry

LemonRedwood · 18/01/2020 11:32

Adding my voice to those who want them to stop please

HoomanMoomin · 18/01/2020 12:09

Same here. I’m not interested in every poll I have clicked. Hmm
Please stop it, MNHQ.

GoldfishRampage · 18/01/2020 13:06

Just commented on the other thread.

I agree this is really irritating, spammy and unprofessional. Please make it stop. Why have opt out options and then ignore them.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/01/2020 14:41

I don't want this either. I don't get routine emails from Mumsnet by my choice, and I certainly don't want these AIBU poll updates.

sunshinesupermum · 18/01/2020 14:43

Wish MNHQ would stop these irritating emails now.

OvenGlovesWillTearUsApart · 18/01/2020 14:45

I got one and thought, ‘eh?’

Even more annoyingly, when I went to look at the thread to find out what was so interesting, it had been deleted!

Choccyp1g · 18/01/2020 15:19

Ditto. Please make it stop

Lupiaza · 18/01/2020 15:25

Me too. Piss off, I don't want this pointless information.

MiniDoofa · 18/01/2020 15:39

Same. Please switch them off!

KimMumsnet · 18/01/2020 16:10

Hi, all.
We are just trying to get an update for you on this - sorry we can't give you any more information at the moment but we are aware that you're having problems so please do bear with us.
Kim

LemonRedwood · 18/01/2020 17:08

we are aware that you're having problems

Not having problems at all, as none of us were trying to do anything. You made a change that now sends out auto emails. Just change it back.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 18/01/2020 17:21

Hello folks - we've switched the emails off for now while we wait to hear an update on how to opt out. Sorry for the annoyance.

StinkyWizleteets · 18/01/2020 17:25

Even the unsubscribe isn’t working 😭😤

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/01/2020 18:27

Thanks YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet

It's started again! And I still can't find a way to unsubscribe from them. I'm (supposedly) only signed up for the weekly round up and Swears By.
