Not seeing deletion messages

Now when a thread I'm watching goes I end up on an Oops page not found message instead of the deletion message. Is it just me?

This site is driving me mad:

1. Still not seeing threads I’ve clicked on changing colour, or sometimes they do then the next minute they’re back to all blue
2. OP’s OP is in highlighted green then subsequent posts are not being highlighted
3. My “threads I’m on” isn’t updating properly to see all the threads I am on

And this! How hard is it to fix all this?!

And advanced search is shit and broken but they've been ignoring the thread about that for over a year. It's full of "oh, we'll chase tech..." then nothing.

Yeah, I’d wager it’s never getting ‘fixed’ because it’s not actually broken.

Just realised from another thread that it doesn’t automatically convert to clicky links anymore, it’s back to putting the square brackets around them

It's over a year since I started a thread about Advanced Search. Someone is still "chasing tech". Either tech is a fast runner or the World Hide and Seek Champion.

Is anyone else hoping a thread they're on gets deleted just to see if it's actually working?

I wrote about this a while ago. Threads are just zapped with no understanding of what went wrong. If it's a troll thread I likecto know because I'm often suckered into them. Now the thread just disappears. I used to still have thread with a zero next to it and if I clicked on it, there would be a mnhq message telling us what went wrong and why it was deleted. So frustrating now.

That’s great @MichaelMumsnet but when will all the other issues be fixed? Especially the advanced search and all sorts of other minor issues

Presumably you have a list of broken stuff and a project plan on delivery - why is this stuff so low priority to you when it affects users so much?

A question @MichaelMumsnet - when the fix is applied, will it be retrospectively applied, so older threads or threads deleted/hidden for whatever reason prior to the fix being applied, we will be able to see why it was deleted/hidden? Or will it only apply to threads that get deleted after the fix is applied?

Getting the 'oops sorry' page on threads in the Advanced Search can be really upsetting.

Sometimes I find myself searching for topics which are unusual or rare, and which statistically there is likely to be a thread(s) somewhere on MN about.

It is upsetting when search shows that threads exist, but it is impossible to access them.

@MrsPlesWearsAFez I find a way around that is to actually google the thread title and “mumsnet” and it usually comes up that way
