Please can we just see the OP updates?

I'm hugely over invested in a thread that's more than a dozen pages long, waiting for the OP to come back, this happens quite often.
Is there any way we could have a button to see OP updates on a si gle page or similar? It's very tedious reading 10 plus pages of "placemarking" or whatever, when all you are interested in is the update.

I spent ages and ages scrolling through a thread last night as the OP updates were few and far between.

I'd like this too (I'm a browser on mobile person).
I've tried using the advanced search for posts by the OP and, although it comes with a list of posts, when I click through I get the Mumsnet 'oops' page.

Alot of forums have a "jump to next post by OP" button which makes it so much easier and quicker to keep up with different threads. Especially on a small mobile screen it becomes so tedious to endless scroll looking for a green post.

I asked for this two years ago nothing happened. I don't want to read a million comments, just the OPs without endless scrolling. Also you wouldn't have redundant comments by people who have not read the whole thread. Would also be great to have thumbs up and down for comments like on Reddit.

I have often wished for this! Even with the OP's posts in a different color it is a easy to miss some. Would stop endless comments by people who have just read the first OP too.

I think MN should close threads if the OP hasn't responded either after x numbers of replies, or x time.

I'm embroiled in a 13 page thread where the OP hasn't come back, but I'm desperate for an update, I have absolutely no interest in any comments other than hers, so this feature would be fab!

MNHQ have it as a voting option on a thread they’ve started on here about site improvements. It was a winning option when I last looked.
