Mumsnet site problems

We’ve had some hardware issues in our server centre, so the site has been struggling this morning.

We’re getting things back to normal and you should now be able to read threads and make posts.

You might find that some images are missing — we’ll be restoring these over the next few hours so please bear with us.

I'm not able to bookmark either.

Can't bookmark, can't post pictures, can't search, my replies 'aren't' posting (when they are.)

When trying to bookmark it's saying 'Username/Password incorrect.'
Is my data safe @MNHQ ?

I'm concerned now.

As @MyCatPeedOnTheCurtains I've just had to log in also.

Without wishing to be pedantic should it not "bear with us" not bare! Also had to log back into app.

Has there been a hacking problem ?

Search not working on the App.
I miss it!

Had to use a different email address and create a new name etc! What on Earth is going on 😱. I am uncomfortable in my new skin. How do I get back to my old account????

Search technically works on the mobile site, but it's utterly shit - can't search by topic and there appears to be no logic to the order in which results are presented.

Search has always been more limited on app but not working at all now

Just posting to help throw some light on recent issues.

One of the servers that is needed for the site to run had a hardware fault which took a few hours to identify, involving a switch in the backup server.

Because of this fault, some users found themselves logged out. Everyone's data is secure so there's no need to worry.

This was also the cause for duplicate posts and messages; the server wasn't working well so wrongly told some posters that their message hadn't been posted, when it had in fact gone through OK.

One last thing, search is currently disabled on the app while these issues get resolved and we'll keep you posted when we know more on this.

I hope the site hasn't been hacked again because I am getting some strange postings on my thread.

Thanks for the update @soniamumsnet , any idea how long the search function will be off on the app?

I use my iPhone for NightWatch & flick between searching & watch on the app then over to mobile to hide on desktop view ,I can now do it easily in seconds.
It takes so much longer when the app isn't working

I'm finding the app is crashing frequently now too

And I've just had to reset my password too!

Very annoying.

I'm a fairly new user, but from this and other issues since I've been on mn and I've seen posts/threads and news items referring to previous issues...

...I have to wonder if the IT side of things is up to scratch?

Please can somebody tell me why I can't start a thread? I've had to re-register as I couldn't remember my email or password.

Is anyone else getting an extra empty line under every post? Also this thread has glitched my computer out!

I use the app and my search still isn't working

Just tried to post via the app but couldn’t as was told I needed to register first even though I was already logged in and could see my username?

I was able to post through the desktop site. Using that now but it’s less convenient than the app.

@mnhq are you are that lots of threads are still refusing to load, giving 404 pages?

I can't see Threads I'm On or Watching on the app, even though I ma logged in. It says I have a 'bad connection' .

Can’t access ‘Threads I’m On’ via the app either.

Any update on search function on the app? When will this be reinstated
