Mumsnet site problems

We’ve had some hardware issues in our server centre, so the site has been struggling this morning.

We’re getting things back to normal and you should now be able to read threads and make posts.

You might find that some images are missing — we’ll be restoring these over the next few hours so please bear with us.

Sorry about all this,
MNHQ

Thank you for the updates 👍🏼

Horsemad · 05/08/2019 13:17

On Threads I'm On, I can see posts have been added to the threads but when I click on the page, they're not showing. 🤔

Am on Android phone, using Chrome.

MichaelMumsnet · 05/08/2019 13:22

We’re sorry about the interruptions on the site today. We’ve been working hard on fixes and most things should be back to normal now. Thanks for bearing with us, MNHQ

I can now post (hooray!) but a lot of the images are missing on my Playmo thread. Hopefully they will be restored soon!

Lunde · 05/08/2019 13:31

When you have time could you remove all of the multiple threads that people have created while the site was struggling?

Over on Relationships someone has managed to create over 12 duplicate threads

Willow2017 · 05/08/2019 14:09

Any chance of getting rid of those damm adverts that are taking up.half the page now? Used to be 1 or 2 now it's 5!!!
Thanks

MichaelMumsnet · 05/08/2019 14:35

If you see duplicate threads - please could you report them to us.
We're going through them now - but every bit of help is hugely appreciated.

Here's the latest (we've pinned it to the top of Site Stuff for a while)...
---
We’re sorry about the interruptions on the site today, and thanks for all your feedback. Most things should be back to normal now (or at least, more normal than the last time we said that).

We have a couple of outstanding issues with Advanced Search and 'recently uploaded images', which we’re still working on. But generally, most things should be fixed.
Phew.
And thanks again for bearing with us.

Looks like a casualty of the glitch - I'll report it just in case.
Ta for flagging.

The app is clearly NOT working as I've just done a load of repeated posts on a thread cos I was not only getting told "unable to post" but refreshes were not showing the post I had made.

I also think you need to sticky a post in active so users KNOW it's not working!

I should've checked in site stuff but I tried a load of stuff thinking it was just me/my phone!

Not good enough mnhq not even nearly good enough

dementedpixie · 05/08/2019 18:31

On some of the 'threads I'm on' i can see that people have posted after me but when I click on the thread the newer posts arent showing

dementedpixie · 05/08/2019 19:13

It's practically unusable. Multiple posts, some threads still saying 'OOPs', missing posts

NeverTrustASmilingCat · 05/08/2019 19:47

I've just had the multiple post thing too 😕

I’m getting this too. In the mobile version on an iPhone/Safari.

SoMuchToBits · 05/08/2019 20:06

I'm getting that too, boatyard on my laptop on Internet Explorer.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/08/2019 20:10

Please have a look in 'the litter tray'. 10 or so identical threads which cannot be read.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 05/08/2019 20:28

Its still not right. Several new threads are unable to be opened.

boatyardblues · 05/08/2019 20:33

If you add a new post of your own the ‘missing’ posts suddenly appear. The thread I was having trouble with is now working normally since I posted on it.

SoMuchToBits · 05/08/2019 20:39

Same here, boatyard!

beanaseireann · 05/08/2019 21:07

Mumsnet's own Emojis won't post.

On the app it says that your post won't post so retry. But it does post the first time so if you retry it's brepeating the post 😮

MyBeloved · 05/08/2019 23:29

It's pretty awful in General Health

DeRigueurMortis · 05/08/2019 23:50

It's saying you're post won't load and to retry - so we are now seeing lots of double/triple posts on threads.
