Annoying pop ups

I keep getting an annoying pop up which can't be closed and takes me away from the page I'm on when I 'close' it. Some dodgy, 'You have won' pop up.

I'm on the mobile site on my iPhone using Safari, iOS 12.1.2.

Can this please be sorted?

So it looks like MNHQ went home after all.

Still no update. It's been nearly 24 hours since the OP posted, and others on the thread linked above have had the problem since Wednesday.

It's constant now. Giving up for today.

Ugh this is so annoying. These kind of pop ups happen on some American websites which I’ve stopped visiting, never usually on MN. I’m giving up too.

I’m also giving up on mn for a while. Fucks sake hq.

Just trying to post this message has taken 4 attempts and 4 lots of me having to close mumsnet down because I get the sky message. Having to give up now. Unusable.

Still there. It always seems to be when there is a french ad at the top of the page.

Yep, still happening, I had to download the app as the site is unusable on Safari. This particular pop up was first mentioned at the back end of last year so not new. My Ad Blockers are permanently switched on but seem useless against this.

Still happening here. I doubt MNHQ have their full IT staff working on stuff like this over the weekend. Site unusable right now. Depends how much it is affecting their overall traffic as to how much of a priority it is to fix, I suppose.

Mostly, but not exclusively, the French ad seems to be triggering it.

I am not getting this problem at all.
Been on site for an hour or two and not getting any issues.
Safari on iPad with ad blocker but My WiFi is not one of the main ones, it is a very small ISP so not not BT, Vodafone, EE or any others mentioned. Is this relevant information?

I woke up today after yesterday's total disaster with these constant 'you've won an iPhone' pop-ups, tried again on MN and INSTANTLY it started again.

Closed down, cleared cache, restarted - instantly another pop-up.

I'm absolutely done with it now. I've installed an ad-blocker and the time it's taken typing this message is the longest I've gone for almost 24 hours without getting the pop-up.

Please just SORT THIS OUT, MN, this is TOTALLY unacceptable. Your site is unusable at the moment and I have deep concerns about the security of my account and my devices (iPad and iPhone, both used yesterday and both infested with these unwanted and intrusive ads).

I keep getting French adverts. Now, I love Europe and I’m heartbroken at Brexit, but French adverts in French with the prices in € is a bit silly on a U.K. site.
