Keep getting directed to dodgy sites

Hi, three times today I’ve clicked on a thread and it’s opened another window, to a dodgy site. The last one was a “100th person to click wins an iPad” type of thing. I’m on an iPad with iOS 11.2. Any ideas?

Mine is fine today, but I put ad blocker plus on, I'm not sure if it made th difference.

Still happening every few clicks for me this morning (iphone). I can get back to the previous page via the history but then the formatting is messed up so I have to restart Safari anyway. Happens when bookmarking etc as well as navigating to new page. Agree it is making the site unusable...
