Adverts stalling browser

Does anyone else have an issue with certain adverts stalling their MN on browser? I've found "Very" adverts (which I regularly block) and now "Supercalifragilistic" advert at the top of the screen completely bungs up to the extent I have to go and do something else or keep pressing wait (There is something wrong with this page...)

Can't take a screenshot as it won't happen whilst these ads are on.

Regularly clean cache etc. Samsung - generic browser.

Three attempts to type this whilst that Supercali advert has jammed my browser...grrrr

I get it with various Ads. In my case it's that my device doesn't have the memory to be playing so many ads at once and I've noticed they're on a loop. I'm also using mobile internet where full signal isn't possible (due to location) as I don't have the option of wifi and that causes it to happen as well.

It happens on other sites where multiple ads are playing as well. Gradually I'm just not using them as much.

I appreciate this won't be the case for everyone but it is definitely the root of the issue for me and has been for sometime.

Still going on, 7 times so far and I've only been on mumsnet 40 minutes! Always the same advert.

DeltaFlyer · 07/03/2019 20:48

3 times in the space of 5 minutes this morning here

oldsilver · 07/03/2019 22:36

I've not seen it today which is a huge improvement as yesterday was just plain silly. Hour and half to go though yet.

Sorry to hear that this is still going on - we are in the process of trying to fix the issue that's causing it so it should be sorted within the next few days. If not - do shout here.
Apologies again for the annoyance.

Come on @MNHQ please get this sorted.

Hi again all,

If you see the advert again, could you please get the clickstring for us? You do this by switching off your wifi and mobile data, and clicking on the advert - the URL it gives you is the "clickstring." This would make it much easier for us to block the advert.

Thanks for your patience with this.

oldsilver · 12/03/2019 17:27

Damn it just saw your message after it happened again - will do!
