Mumsnet kills my music

In the middle of a commute... listening to spotify... and I can't turn on mumsnet because every bloody time it turns my music off when ads come up with sound. (Note I don't actually hear the sound... it just turns off my music).

Can you make no noise ads please on the app?

Ahhh happened to me to and I am not anywhere near an ad as it is as soon as I open the ad. Also iPhone.

Happens to me too! I have an iphone. Music shuts off as soon as I open the MN app. No adverts seem to be causing it though, more like the app itself. Doesn't happen with other apps.

Still an issue for me.

On the iPhone app: no idea which ads trigger it as I always close the app and go do something else instead. Probably not the reaction advertisers want, but shutting off my music is very annoying and I vote with moving my attention elsewhere.

Would love to know if / when you're going to fix this?

Still a problem for me too. I was on the 'talk' page looking at 'active threads'. Didn't see any adverts (I'm on my iPhone).

It has been happening for me too but on my android tablet. Spotify running and then go to MN on the Web and boom music stops

Which is what you said in November and January. But you're only responding if the thread is bumped. Is there somewhere else we should report tech problems as 'site stuff ' doesn't seem to get much MNHQ attention.

Hey guys, thanks for your patience with this issue. It's taken a while to figure out because it seems to happen so infrequently, related to very specific ads. I've made some changes which I think might do the trick - but I will need to check with you to see if it's helped.

We'll hopefully have the new build in your hands within a few days, hang in there!
