Advanced search on an iPad - choosing topics

How are you meant to choose specific topics to search for?

I’m sure it used to work - you’d select topics from a list on the left and move them to the link used” list on the right. Ridiculously cumbersome but it used to work. For ages (and I mean ages!) now you’ve not been able to move the chosen topics over to the “included” list. Am I missing something?

The incidences where the results of an advanced searchare just basically an unresponsive screenshot (that I mentioned on this thread in September 2018* ) are a complete pain in the arse.

Is there any chance at all of this being fixed? Or even looked at (because I don't believe it has been). It's this thread's first birthday tomorrow!

So, you've been chasing for over 2 months now with no luck.

I tried using the advanced search recently, and found it really frustrating not to be able to narrow down the results to a single topic where I knew the thread I was looking for had been.

I'm used to not being able to choose topics now and it's just a minor irritation. My main complaint now is when the results are basically an unclickable screenshot so you can't go to the threads you've found anyway.

I'm expecting another few months of tumble weed though.

A few months is a bit optimistic isn’t it? Poor tech’s been being chased for 13 months now.

I think Tech is the world hide and seek champion and no one has found him yet.

I feel like we ought to have had a birthday party for this thread last month. Maybe when it turns 2 next year.

I keep bumping the other thread on this subject which was started in January 2018 but MNHQ hasn't commented on it since June.

It would be great if it were fixed but in the absence of that I want MNHQ to admit that it's beyond the capability of their Tech Team.

I don't think it is beyond them, i think they don't care.

You may be right. They aren't going to lose members because Advanced Search doesn't work properly so their income from advertising won't be affected

Exactly. None of this "oooh, we'll chase Tech...." then silence. It's rubbish.

Absolutely. We had so many promises on the other thread that the 'Tech Team' have been busy but will look into it, then we're told it has been fixed but it hasn't. I think they've run out of excuses and it must be really embarrassing for the mods to keep promising it will be fixed for over eighteen months and still nothing. Other than tell us the truth what can they say? I'd like to hear from the 'Tech Team'.

Or even a proper response and not some rubbish about "chasing tech" followed by a vanishing act?
