with offense being taken at all manner of inconsequential things?

OP posts:
Daisybump · 03/05/2007 14:32

AitchTwoOh and Tutter....It all just seems to have gotten out of hand and we would like to forget it and move on, inspite of several threads today which seem to want to keep the animosity going (and not from us 'antenatalers' I might add)

As someone who has struggled to get this far (2mcs before this pg) I should have had more sense and realised that the title was a bit OTT, and you do forget that other people can see it all the time. The latest one was a done on the back of yesterdays goings on...we are a hormonal, reactive bunch after all. It'll be gone in a day or two as we can talk for our contries.

So, if we promise to be a bit more thoughtful in future, can the posts that are being put up in order to provoke further reaction from us please stop?

Tutter · 03/05/2007 14:34

good post daisy

think aitch and i both happy to move on, tbh - the thread starters are Other People Entirely

(aitch oh aitch please say it's ok that i have started compulsively Using Capitals)

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 14:45

i'm finding it hard not to do At Work, tutter...

happy to move on, daisy, i imagine it is easy to forget that the title bumps and rebumps all the time. (although you might also want to remember that other posters Can Actually See what is posted on the ante-natal threads too, so much as your post is welcome i'm not completely sure you're all singing from the same hymn sheet...)

anyway, on to more important matters. what are you going to be called when you don't have a bump any more?

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 14:52

Daisybump was actually the name of my cat and nothing to do with me being pg, but I thought something along the lines of Daisyflab would be more appropriate, or Daisycantshiftthefatfortoffee

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 14:54

no, somethign altogether lovelier is required... daisysomething certainly...

Twiglett · 03/05/2007 15:58

I like DaisyDoo or DaisyDoesDallas (ok, maybe not the latter)

but I think my personal favourite would have to be DaisyDiddyDiddyDumDiddyDoo

Manictigger · 03/05/2007 16:17

Daisybumpless.

No I think MNetters can and do find humour in anything and everything (thankfully)

boyslovegranny · 03/05/2007 16:19

Think the OP has a point. Because of the various threads descending into quite lengthy arguments about people feeling offended recently I now find myself looking at some thread titles thinking 'oh no, that's going upset someone'.

For example - I just saw a thread called something like 'Does anyone else's child have hollow legs?' and my first thought was someone who is having trouble getting their child to eat is going to be upset by someone elses glib attitude to their child's huge appetite.

Whereas before, I would have just seen it as a light-hearted comment, or not thought twice about it.

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 18:50

daisydiddydiddy, that's genius. am tempted to purloin it... be quick daisybump, save it for yourself.

WideWebWitch · 03/05/2007 18:52

You've only got to read the hilarious wank in a field thread to see that it hasn't.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/05/2007 18:55

How have you missed this vvv?

Mhamai · 03/05/2007 19:09

Too right we need the style shop Malory, I only got one reply on the style threads and there's over 100 posts on winking in a field.

Mhamai · 03/05/2007 19:09

anking

Mhamai · 03/05/2007 19:10

ah feckin keyboard, wanking.

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 19:13

have just looked at the other thread (i did mention that we can see them, didn't i? ) and daisybump you are most definitely not having the piss taken out of you... we were trying to move the conversation on to Something Else. daisydiddydiddydumdiddydum is a classic name, you should grab it. it's definitely catchy, everyone will remember you. i promise, it's a great name, grab it while you can.

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 19:15

oh ...just not sure about anyone or anything on here any more...(daisy wanders off to hide her head under a duvet until next spring)

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/05/2007 19:16

Have found it now, thank you! Hilarious...

Mhamai you seem to be having trouble with your wanking all over the board today

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 19:16

nonooonooooo. grab the name first, then go hide.

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 19:17

you know you don't have to change from daisybump, don't you? just bagsie the name then change straight back.

Mhamai · 03/05/2007 19:21

VVVQV, although I did have sex in a field last week! I hasten to add it was nowhere near a playgroup, just a couple of bemused cows. Hmmm maybe this should be on that thread.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/05/2007 19:26

But were you wearing school uniform mhamai?

Mhamai · 03/05/2007 19:26

No but he was!

AitchTwoOh · 03/05/2007 19:27

it's the talk of Cowsnet.com, mhamai.
