I wasn't just talking about the antenatal threads - all manner of offence is being taken at all sorts of silly things all over the boards.

Have I missed something? I find the threads I am on have a great sense of hunour, those I dont find funny, if I want a laugh, I leave alone...

I'd agree that respect for an individual has to be earned but basic respect for other people in society (ie the other users of this site) doesn't IMHO.

It really is about appreciating that this site is used by a wide range of people and whilst the ante-natal support of your own group is fabulous .. and the post-natal too if that's what you want .. its also nice to get out into the big murky depths and see if you enjoy conversing with other people at different stages of the parenting process.

I think people are just trying to point out that a long-term thread title should have a minimum of thought given to the fact that it will be thrust continuously in other people's faces
