Deletions due to being discussed elsewhere

Hi

I was wondering if this is going to be the case for all posts now? Can they be deleted just because they’re discussed elsewhere?

It’s a public forum of course all posts might be discussed elsewhere, that’s the risk you take when you post online.

Why doesn’t this happen when people’s threads end up on Facebook/twitter pages dedicated to slating MN users? Not to mention the scummy journos who lift entire threads on here but MNHQ are happy to keep them?

I thought you didn’t delete threads unless against guidelines etc? Is this going to be a new guideline? Must not be discussed on certain forums?

There were more than a few people 'troll hunting' on the thread on here this morning.

Grommit - “I set up a thread over there to challenge them and have just been abused again... stuff they were saying about me over there feels worse than the rape”

Without meaning to hurt your feelings, I have to say that this sounds like the time to draw on RL relationships rather than get into arguments with strangers on the internet.

How strange that you came to this thread to post about your situation. How do you even know it's to do with Reddit?

Not as bad as dh honey

I sent him off for a small sofa and chair within budget and he came home with an extra ginormous pouffe that cost as much as the sofa!!

You allowed your DH to go shopping for furniture? Hmm ALONE??? Shock

Good God woman, then you deserve all you get. Have you learned nothing of menfolk so far? Think yourself lucky it was only a giant pouffe he came home with and not a wall to wall, floor to ceiling tropical fish tank or one of those outdoor hot tub abominations. Sex soup. Eeeugh.

Give it a rest? I've only made 1 comment. I meant it was strange that Grommit reactivated a dormant thread to talk about her plight on Reddit when there's nothing in the thread title or op to even suggest it is to do with Reddit. But I guess she must have had time to browse through other talk threads during her distress yesterday and happened upon this one.

Ok fair enough, I thought you were one of the Reddit posters who are intent on discrediting Grommit and 'proving' she's a troll and a man.

astrid

I know i know Sad

We had picked the sofa and chair together, discussed the fact that the playroom (dining room) is very narrow and there would be no room with a giant pouffe

All he had to do was order it and pay for it

The children love it

15 dd lies on it and the boys lift it her on it...THATS HOW BLOODY BIG IT IS!!!

I love these stories, DH went out once for bread and milk and came back with a 55" tvand a sound bar

We had to extend the house when Dh found “a bargain” three piece suite. The 4k it costs us to build a conservatory to make room for it or the fact some of it had to be stored in his dads garage apparently does to mitigate its bargainousness.
