No glitterball on iPhone

All I can see on this thread is lots of posts with 'glitterball' written in square brackets.

Still no glitterball for my iPhone either I've quit and restarted numerous times and have the latest versions of iOS etc.

Apologies to iOS and Android app users, we found the bug in our systems that has now been fixed.

This may fix the issue immediately for Android users, iOS users will have to wait a few days before the cache updates 😢 (I will improve that cache sometime soon).

If you are really desperate for the glitterball, delete and reinstall the app. Apologies for the inconvenience!

I can't see the either on my iPhone app - and what's worse, I've lost all my emojis and gave to type them in manually via the [ ]

It just hangs when I touch the emoji button.

Suspect it is because I'm still on an iPhone 4 and can't upgrade beyond iOS 7

beachey maybe I can help, what are you using mumsnet on is it a pc or a phone? Is it an iPhone? Can you see the glitter balls in other people's posts or can you only see the word glitter all in square brackets? Like this

To get the emoji in your posts you need to either type glitterball in square brackets [ ]

OR if when you are composing your message you tap on the smiley face (next to the T (font options) and the paper clip (for attaching an image/photo) then scroll through the Mumsnet emoji to the end. It's the last one.

It's not a 'normal' universal emoji like Ones you'd use when texting or in other apps. It is a MumsNet specific emoji.
