Bloody love it. And it was worth waiting for.
For anyone interested (or bored shitless) about forty of us asked for a glitterball last year. There was precedent given the 
and the Archers emoticons and because I am a big kid and also a bit like the crab in Moana , I thought it would be a nice to have.
As far as I know, it will only be for the Strictly season (I may be wrong in that) but hope it's around Sept-Dec each year. It is bloody unlikely to lead to ticker tape glitzy stuff.
The Strictly threads are always lovely - they are in Telly Addicts and there are posters (you know who you are) who have shared dancing knowledge for years now. It's always good fun (probably if you're a Superfan otherwise it's probably a bit 
).
Anyone is welcome on those threads, the posters on there are friendly and fabulous.
Anyway we asked again this year. I brought it up on various threads and when we were asked for ways to improve the site I decided to be a cheeky git and brought it up again, although it was a flippant request. It cross-posted with Justine and she agreed to do it.
This was just before Stratter's request for her name back.
I then went to collect my kids and on return found cucarachagate had happened. To be totally fair to Justine, she could have reneged on what was a frivolous request in the first place, given the amount of stick then attached to it and the fact that tech would have the nightmare of creating said emoticon.
But they didn't. And whether Strictly is lowest common denominator stuff or not, and whether it makes me a pleb or not (I would have come over but cannot remember my sodding password) I am nonetheless impressed they made one for us. Thank you.
