For me, MN's greatest strength has always been its members - their humour, intelligence, knowledge, supportiveness, and care for others - something which has always applied to Stratters, in my experience.
I fear MN is changing. It is not about the members any more - it feels more and more as if our only value to MNHQ is in the revenue they can get by selling advertising - basically selling us as the audience for the advertisers.
I have never been a big fan of the "I remember when it were all fields here, MN has changed, and not for the better" threads - I always believed that change was inevitable, and that, in general, the changes didn't affect the core of MN, its mission (By parents, for parents - their words, it mine), but that is no longer the case, in my opinion.
