I've asked MN Admin & they've asked that a post a thread on Site Stuff to guage interest.

On a recent thread it appears that they were quite a few of us who have IBD, (Crohn's disease or Ulceritive Colitis) and other conditions either associated with this disease or other AI disorders.

If you'd be interested in this as a new topic under Health please post on here. The more responses this thread gets the more chance of it happening.

Would be good to have a suppprt thread out there.

Autoimmune Hypothyroidism here.
Would be very interested in a AI health section.

Sallysadlyseescertainty · 06/04/2017 20:52

Yes, but not only the conditions you mention, there are more.

mrscee · 06/04/2017 20:53

Me to I have itp idiopathic thrombocytopenia low platelets and also premature ovarian failure

ExplodedCloud · 06/04/2017 20:56

God some of these sound fascinating and grim in equal measure!

Cocolepew · 06/04/2017 20:56

Yes, another Lupus here.
I think it would also help people with symptons but no diagnosis. There seems to be a lot of posts in general health that sound like AI.

VioletLips · 06/04/2017 20:57

I never expected such a response.

So many of us suffering with different conditions.

Come on Mumsnet, this topic is needed.

RA here so yes please

Amockingjayhey · 06/04/2017 20:58

Just to clear it up, this came about on a very long and drawn out thread about disabled toilet use. This is why there were a lot of us commenting about having IBD.
But of course any and all AI conditions welcome here! I mean I'm sure we don't welcome them in our lives but to discuss here ....

tanyadm · 06/04/2017 20:59

Yes. Hashimoto's thyroiditis and pernicious anaemia here, plus 7 year old daughter with HT, Raynaud's and possible juvenile arthritis.

CharlieSierra · 06/04/2017 21:00

I'm interested too. I have psoriasis and AS.

FuzzyOwl · 06/04/2017 21:00

DellaPorter · 06/04/2017 21:02

happyhearts7 · 06/04/2017 21:02

Yes, definitely interested!!

Have been diagnosed with Autoimmune Hypothyroidism and waiting for confirmation of Crohn's Disease.

Life is proving very difficult at the moment so support from others who understand whilst supporting them in return would be fantastic!

Do we need placards? Wink
