What about those who think it's so distasteful that there shouldn't BE a section? I'll go on that list.

Crime (and by default, it's victims) should not be entertainment.

There are already far too many little-used sections.

So no one can discuss crime at all?

If there are lots of little used sections they can merge those ones with other sections or close them down. It's not a reason to no longer start new sections that there would be a demand for.

That's the point though - a few people on a thread say they want that topic and then it's often tumbleweed once they're set up.

Crime is a matter of public interest and should be discussed (albeit sensitively).
There could be legal issues surrounding upcoming trials in terms of prejudice, but cases that have been concluded would be interesting.
