Having just logged in on my desktop, I can now see that when I log in via Safari on my iPhone I am seeing the actual desktop site, not the mobile version of the desktop site. Everything is far too small to see properly. Is anyone else having this problem?

FlissMumsnet · 11/12/2016 20:01

Sorry to hear a few of you still having trouble with teeny font, we'll try to post an update as soon as poss. Blush

RoseValleyRambles · 12/12/2016 09:47

Happening here as of this am. Looks like I'm getting desktop view not mobile.

ShamTech · 12/12/2016 11:24

If anybody is seeing the desktop version of the site on their mobile device, you can just scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap the 'Mobile version' link.

Also if you're not seeing the blue button bar at the bottom of your screen when using Talk, tap the little person icon at the top and then tap 'Show shortcut buttons'

Hope that helps some people at least. We are still trying to figure out why fonts are loading intermittently for some of you.

00100001 · 12/12/2016 16:12

choose the mobile view (right at the bottom of every page - see if it reverts is back to mobile?

ShamTech · 12/12/2016 16:22

00100001 - correct. That should put you back to mobile view and it should stay there until you switch back to desktop again. Unless you're using Private Browsing or Incognito mode in which case it won't remember.

Thurlow · 14/12/2016 09:53

Ok, I'm still getting this, anyone else?

Nobrain · 14/12/2016 10:47

Yep. Definitely on the mobile site too.

shadowfax07 · 14/12/2016 13:21

Yes, it's been happening since I cleared my cookies yesterday.

00100001 · 14/12/2016 16:59

Still getting this too :)
It's like we're in some sort of private mildly annoying club Grin

mildly annoying for both ends

us) because we get small fonts and icons sometimes.
mnhq) because I have no clue how they will "fix" this, seeings as it's intermittent and has been going on for 6+ weeks!

Windows phone here, my fat fingers can't cope 😂

00100001 · 20/12/2016 09:32

any news MNHQ?

It has been a rather long time.

OP posts:
amysmummy12345 · 20/12/2016 12:11

If you go down to the bottom of the page 001 it should say "mobile site" click on that and it restores it. For some reason our phones must have reverted back to classic site Confused

00100001 · 20/12/2016 14:53

It's nothing to do with desktop /mobile :) it's an intermittent problem regarding the way fonts are loaded

OP posts:
amysmummy12345 · 20/12/2016 19:51

Ah! Sorry 😊 mines fixed for now I eagerly await the next giant pop up to do the rounds 😂

Nobrain · 23/12/2016 15:58

Fixed here too ☺

00100001 · 24/12/2016 06:21

ah... well my phone properly broke two days ago.... when it gets fixed, i'll see what occurs!

OP posts:
Thurlow · 26/12/2016 20:04

How about as a Christmas present we get an update on this cos it's really getting annoying!

00100001 · 27/12/2016 08:35

They have no idea why it is happening... surely?

OP posts:
Thurlow · 01/01/2017 14:34

Right. This started in OCTOBER and there's hardly been any response. I've reported my posts several times with no response either.

HQ, is anyone going to respond to this at all?

KatherineMumsnet · 01/01/2017 15:08

So sorry for the late reply, everyone. We will ask tech to re-look at this next week.
