Because I'm getting confused. There are so many people with UserName in their UserName that I'm in danger of being extremely rude to one of them mixing them up and thinking a new one is an old one or a previously banned one.

I think they have to take the name allocated to them when they register, for some reason, but could they not be auto-sked to namechange before posting? Pretty please.

I'm with maryz, i will henceforth be ignoring (except to report) any poster whose name is user###.

If we all completely blank them, perhaps mnhq will consider scrapping the idea?

I think the deletion was a mistake, in an attempt to react quicker following complaints. Stupid, but not malicious.

There are so many trolls jumping onto this bandwagon, I would suggest you suspend the lot and tell them they must re-register with proper usernames.

The user### today on the two threads are the same person. There's more than one. Think I have reported 4? All different user### but all the same person. The latest id user #### is using has said they keep rejoining.
The system clearly isn't working.
I am with others and not engaging with any user#### not worth it.

I think the user/number thing is the worst idea MNHQ have ever had.

Normally when people are moaning about new updates, like 'trending', the emojis, the social media buttons, the new typeface etc, I genuinely find myself thinking "Meh, it's not that bad".

But this is ridiculous and I now don't want to interact with anyone who has user/number as their NN.

No-one can remember the numbers anyway so they might just as well have given all newbies the name Bob, because they all look the same.

If someone is posting on one thread with multiple names then they don't deserve to have their threads answered sensibly.

It's not about tarring everyone with the same brush, it's about trying to prevent posters being told it's their faults their children are dead (for example).
