A number of us here have a love of pen porn and wanted to know if there was a grubby little corner you could stick us into??

And if MN wanted to create special personalised pens for us as well we will love you forever...

I know it doesnt strictly count as "Stationery" but... I did pick up a couple storage boxes and a new A4 file today. Grin

They're on special offer in Tesco 3 for 2.

Oooh crazy you'll be needing a whole LOAD of new stationery!

Notebooks
Pens
Pencil case

Am jealous Envy

Have just read the whole thread.

I too have found my people!

Paxillin, I have recently started a line of stationery for that reason as I hate stuff covered in butterflies, etc. too. DS is also a big stationeryphile which is great as there is always a notepad, stapler, post-it pad to hand :)

CrazyDuchess · 16/05/2016 14:54

You are right not to mention I already have 2 of everything

A cute notepad and some filo fax folders, plastic wallets and some colourful cut flush folders eeeek

I am getting tingly again!

Have you all signed up for the Paperchase loyalty card? On your birthday you get a fiver to spend - a fiver, just on stationery.....it's another excuse to lurk in the store for about an hour touching everything and then you can walk out with something pretty for free!

I am not sure how many years it would take to use every empty notepad/book I have but I love the opportunity to get another one.

CrazyDuchess · 16/05/2016 15:40

Paperchase have a loyalty scheme??!!??

Ds (15) has school exams this week, starting today. Last night he said to me, "My pen's run out, I need one for tomorrow." Note the pen, singular. Gave him THREE pens this morning, including my personal favourite retractable ballpoint, a uni-ball Jetstream (that he did at least admit was "nice" to write with). My daughters were horrified at his lackadaisical approach to stationery Grin

Paperkins · 16/05/2016 16:14

CrazyDuchess - my birthday came at the same time as built up points so I had two £5 vouchers to spend at once. So hard to decide though!

If you buy all the birthday and Xmas presents you need to for others from there, then you can build up points to spend on yourself Halo

CrazyDuchess · 16/05/2016 16:14

I am not sure I have ever used a pen until it runs out??!!?? I am always on the hunt for something better

I love Paper chase. I'd forgotten how much I like pens and paper. We moved to a country with a small population and enormous price tags on nice paper, about 5/6 times the price of Paper chase and an unreliable postal system. So I stopped writing letters and it's gone downhill from there Sad

Boy am I looking forward to payday next month Grin

LemonRedwood · 16/05/2016 18:15

Atia you are a much kinder person than me! All my jetstreams are labelled with my name and kept under lock and key! DH knows that touching a red one means risking losing a hand - seriously, when marking 90 books in one sitting I need smooth ink!
(Only the 1.0s though, anyone can have the 0.7s because I find them a bit scratchy)

AtiaoftheJulii · 16/05/2016 19:38

I did decide lending him one pen was a good reason to buy [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0195DX25M/ref=ya_st_dp_summary]] Grin

AtiaoftheJulii · 16/05/2016 19:39

Oops, god knows what happened to the link to my replacements! Some of it seems to be clickable.

Ihatecobwebs · 16/05/2016 21:50

My new pens - fine tipped archival coloured ink!

Ooohhhhhh cobwebs where from I beg thee

Via Amazon - will look up details when I get a chance.

2LittleMonkeysJumpingOnMyHead · 17/05/2016 11:25

I've been lurking...
I'm excited to say that my pink disposable fountain pen has almost run out, and I mark with it, so I'll be needing to place a cult pens order :)
What is the benefit to using refillable white board pens? I hate how mine run out so quickly and often don't write that well.

paxillin · 17/05/2016 11:35

I see all the stationery experts are still here Grin. Can I ask what pencil sharpener you use? I own about 10 of them, there are all different degrees of rubbish. Start of well, soon enough no longer sharp or grate the edges. Is there a fabulous sharpener? (I do not want to start my dad's pen knife method)

We have normal thin pencils as well as fat Lyra colour giants.

stealthsquiggle · 17/05/2016 11:39

My purple Pilot v-sign pen which accidentally slipped in to an Amazon shopping basket with slightly more sensible stuff has just arrived [happy sigh]

I have decided I need to make myself a pencil-roll type pencil case to live in my handbag so that I don't have to rummage in the bottom of my bag. Also a make up pouch so that I stop producing an eyeliner pencil in meetings. Off to raid the fabric stash now, although a long period of design contemplation may follow. Do I need a pocket for my precious 2-stage long point pencil sharpener?

stealthsquiggle · 17/05/2016 11:42

Nice x-post, Pax Grin

My pencil sharpener of choice is this one

I don't have the perfect answer for the very lovely Lyra pencils, though Sad

stealthsquiggle · 17/05/2016 11:48

link fail

paxillin · 17/05/2016 12:01

Very good x post indeed. Will get ordering, thanks. I hate blunt sharpeners. My mother has a huge 50 year old contraption with a handle you have to turn for pencil sharpening. I always laughed at her. How I wished I had one of those now!
