Difficulty in reading posts in that compulsory highlight colour

UptheChimney · 06/08/2015 14:24

I'm a mole very shortsighted. I'm finding it very difficult to read posts now they're highlighted in that APPALLING dark green colour. There's not enough contrast to read quickly and comfortably.

I'm not visually impaired, but I'm having difficulties. Can't imagine how awful it would be for those with visual impairment.

The improvements are crap.

Why on earth change it?!

I CHOSE the colours for a REASON!

The colours suited me and I could read them.

Why fiddle with things that aren't broken?

Dear MNHQ, please stop messing about with my thread colour highlighting settings.

I don't want snot green as the colour for the OP of a thread! I want to retain my original settings. Why can I no longer customise the colours that I use to highlight an OP and my own posts?

This is just pissing people off. Angry

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Well I like the green. Except it's the colour MY posts should be in. The OP's posts are usually purple.

Put. It. Back. Now.

Please sort it out mnhq it really is awful and much better the way it was.

I find it hard to believe that only 8% of us used the colour customise function. Hmm

Why on earth, if there are so many colours already being used, are you changing the colours that we have? I really, really, really don't see the point of this.

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!!!!

I've spent half an hour trying to find out why all the colours have changed and how I go back to the way they were.

And finally, one bottle of vino and much swearing later, I discover it's nothing I've done, and there is nothing I can do about it.

I've already almost given up using the mobile site now there is advertising at the top, the blue banner at the bottom cannot be removed and there are random pale blue mums net ads floating through the threads meaning there is virtually no room for any other text.

And now this. I'm dyslexic and it appears the dark green means I can't read the fucking text.

Please give me my purples back or I'm walking.

Why are you doing all this shit? Have you been inundated with requests for change?

I find that hard to believe too MissDemelza Hmm

The first thing I did when I registered was to choose my colour settings. Blue then light grey for OP and darker grey for my own. I hated the pink, and I hate this Co-op snot green!

This minty green shiteous colour is very difficult to read. Silly to mess about with what makes the board usable/readable.

AnnaBegins · 06/08/2015 22:25

Ugh this green is impossible to read! I used to have purple too. I simply can't read the green without a headache.

MrsHathaway · 06/08/2015 22:31

On mobile site I had the normal colours, and wondered what you were all chuntering about.

Now I'm on the laptop work avoiding and OH GLORY BE it's hideous.

WHY, Tech?!

Report
PrimalLass · 06/08/2015 22:34

Why not just make the OP's post purple? as I had it in the first place

Report
Littlefish · 06/08/2015 22:36

I find the lime green really hard to read too.

Report
SavoyCabbage · 06/08/2015 22:37

It might be 8% of people registered but is it 8% of regular users?

FSS at this rate I will have to turn the highlighted posts off. The colours are too dark and I can't read the posts that are highlighted because there is not enough contrast. Are you trying to get rid of the option of highlighted posts all together!!!

Thanks for all your comments, we are taking them on board and will get back to y'all in the morning.

But you are making me vomit...I don't think I can get to the morning. I mean all the OPs are pea soup green snotty boggies colour.

Why MNHQ? We come here to escape snot!

I can cope with being purple. I used to be pink. But I can't cope with my favourite posters who start lovely threads being snotty.

I hardly ever use the mobile site now because it's crap but, is that true that the intrusive blue buttons at the bottom can't be turned off anymore? I thought they'd just reappeared by mistake after an update and I'd be able to turn them off?

The green is crap as well.
