We'd like a Survival/Prepper topic please, if that's possible. Somewhere where we can discuss prepping, techniques, exchange ideas, etc. Not just for the Zombie Apocalypse, a serious topic where we can collate our plans and ideas.

Exactly, it's not creating a new topic that's the problem, it's the plethora of topics that simply create so little traffic as to be pretty much defunct.

I'd be interested. I was thinking quite seriously I might set up a bag or something just in case. Probably for a flu or other pandemic of some kind.

Say a week or 2 non perishable food plus other basics.

Be nice to have somewhere to discuss.

What's right with paella, even without the woodlouse.

My iPad doesn't like wood l i c e and keeps changing it to woodlouse. I'm sure a single would be fine, with paella or without. Extra protein and all that.

Heh, see woodlice would be a suitable substitute for prawns. We were discussing gannets, and how fishy they taste. I suggested gannet paella, with woodlice.

I can't even get it right with power, never mind without.

I would use risotto as emergency brick filler. Or grouting. That's how good my risotto is.
Kind of in keeping with this thread, has anyone played a game called Bucket of Doom? Saw it Comicon a few weeks ago and thought it looked good for giving quick-thinking-with-minimal-supplies training .
