I thought it might be interesting to see how many people like the purple pop-up info boxes.

Survey here

Hiya SDTG,
?
?Huge thanks for taking the time to do this.
?WE do completely get that they can irk, but we also know that they are helpful for folk who have hidden topics etc to find out about impt things that are going on.
?
?Am speaking without the authority of ALL the Powers That Be, but not sure that we'll be doing any surveys until after the tinkering about (technical termGrin) that Justine has referred to here
?HTH

??Best
?Olivia
?MNHQ

Didn't realise there was a cut off. I'm a no too. They cover up my short cut buttons and annoy me massively.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/03/2015 20:29

Olivia - will MNHQ be taking the results of the survey into account?

I know it is a very small sample, but the overwhelming result seems to be that no-one wants them - there was not one single vote to keep them. There were a very small number of people who neither love nor hate them, and 98% of respondents wanted them gone - that's not a number you can ignore completely, surely?

No! It's incredibly fucking annoying!

Jjcrackers · 17/03/2015 21:25

Pita. Disruptive. Annoying

FishWithABicycle · 17/03/2015 21:34

Having stickies at top of thread lists is something you can opt-out from in settings, surely it must be possible to opt out of these sliders too.

I hate them.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/03/2015 22:08

FishWith - that would seem to be the best compromise - allowing us to,opt out of the 'sliders'. Then the silent few people who like them and find them useful, can keep them, and the insignificant 98% can lose them forthwith!

venusandmars · 20/03/2015 22:36

Well, it seems to have been changed now..... on my phone it appears in a slightly paler colour in the middle of the thread. Any only ONCE. Thank goodness. Thanks MNHQ if you have changed it.
