Both threads have disappeared from my threads I'm watching list.
Have they been deleted?
I hope the OP is ok

OP posts:
SolomanDaisy · 13/10/2014 19:35

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't an attempt to have someone publicly identified. The drips about the supposed OW just kept coming. A couple more tweets detailed and it would have been very easy.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2014 19:41

At the very least there could have been speculation of someone with that description involved with that party, a quote from twitter and it would/could have been quite serious slander. Or libel. Not sure which :o

Panad · 13/10/2014 19:43

Petite definitely.

AlbaGuBrath · 13/10/2014 19:46

Wish I hadn't bailed on the thread for a few days. Was planning on catching up tonight!

I suppose what I don't really get is how such threads actually help with the writing of fiction aside from the actual posting and creative instant - how does it all fuel up to become a part of anything?

Or is it not about writing fiction on a larger scale, not about working towards .. is it just about exercising personal keyboard power and engaging others'. Is it about destroying faith and closing off avenues of help for genuine posters in distress? Why would anyone do that?

But then, why would anyone hoax call an ambulance to attack it ...?

Panad · 13/10/2014 20:10

Mary Really? It's just about writing a story? Bloody hell. Grin

Thanks Maryz ... I have seen ads for wanna-writers online and they are expected to write a zillion words for 50p kind of thing; didn't realise clubs do it too. All a bit exploitative really. I suppose the key thing is just to always be yourself, give freely or don't give at all by way of time and emotion. There are some threads that have haunted me though and it's a bit cruel to clutter up sensitive minds ... it isn't like reality's easy to start with *sigh

There are threads that just jitter "no way" at me but I rarely trust myself to know for sure lol ...

Maybe it's a good lesson in detachment when responding; maybe it isn't because detachment isn't going to make the world a better place ... is it?

tipsytrifle · 13/10/2014 20:33

Maryz - why did he get a tad cross with you? Think I might like to have been listening in on that because I can have a good guess who came off worse Grin

BerylStreep · 13/10/2014 20:37

I reported the thread.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

tipsytrifle · 13/10/2014 20:47

It all makes sense to me now, Beryl and I'm glad you reported it. Thank you. It just annoys me that I question my instincts even when so much was jangling "unbelieve" bells in that thread. I've done enough grrr-ing at myself about real stuff never mind new rubbish ... lol ... I suppose I just can't imagine the mentality that thinks "I know what I'll do today, I'll make up a tragedy for people who are still recovering from their own ..."

Wtf ?
But we still dont actually know for sure do we ? I do wish mnhq would update rather then just saying they are investigating.

I totally believed it. I was telling Dh all about it this afternoon.

IrenetheQuaint · 13/10/2014 22:01

Ha - the 'husband only fancies large women' twist reminded me very strongly of a crappy chicklit novel by Jane Green. This would be why!

Mrsfrumble · 13/10/2014 22:09

Obviously there were some more dramatic revelations after I last saw the thread. Even if it turns out to be bullshit, I have to know, what was the Paris twist?

I must be so gullible, as I have literally no "trolldar".

Panad · 13/10/2014 22:16

The husband was going to Paris on a "work trip". OW had announced on twitter that she was also going on a trip. OP was watching twitter to see if OW said exactly where she was going. Grrrrrr!

Panad · 13/10/2014 22:18

Maryz that is really nice of you to pm people who are getting too involved.

chocolatespiders · 13/10/2014 22:19

Took me over an hour to read that thread!

Panad · 13/10/2014 22:20

chocolate it was a good un ! (grin)

Panad · 13/10/2014 22:21

and by that I mean that it was done well to get people interested (unfortunately)

Imwoodword · 13/10/2014 22:23

I did not see troll at all. Was really surprised to see the deletion message!

Panad · 13/10/2014 22:25

There is another thread running about this thread and it says much more. Talks about the Labour Party reference etc.

Booville3 · 13/10/2014 22:41

I spent along time following that post/ thread searched out the second part etc I can't believe it's all been a lie?? How will we find out?? Mind you now I think about it her mother did seem a bit too good to be true!!
