Hello

We've got lots of new whizzy functions and apps and mobile sites and whatnot upcoming and we'd like to have a bunch of MNers we can call on to test things for us before we release them into the wild to cause havoc on the boards

Some things will be fairly discrete and quick to test and feed back on; others will be big things (like the apps and mobile sites) and will require you to use them for a few days and have a good poke around.

Of course by volunteering now you're not committing to anything - we'll always contact you first to ask if you're still up for it, and if you can't do it or don't see the mail in time that's absolutely fine.

So if in principle you'd like to be in our testers' group, please sign up here and let us know the following:

  1. how you mostly use MN (desktop site, mobile site, app)
  2. which device you usually use (phone, tablet, desktop, laptop etc)
  3. which operating system runs on the device you usually use (Windows, Apple OSs, Android, Linux etc)

Thanks v much
MNHQ x

I'd be happy to help.

Normally use desktop site on android tablet (chrome) but I'm happy to adapt to app/mobile site.
Also use on PC windows vista/chrome.

CarpeJugulum · 03/06/2014 13:33

Me please.

  1. I usually use mobile site at home, but desktop at work.
  2. I use phone, tablet, laptop and desktop (depending on where I am/what I'm doing)
  3. I use AppleOS, Android and Windows.

In short, tell me what you need tested and I'll test it Wink

OohMrDarcy · 03/06/2014 13:35

I'd be happy to help

I use a variety of the following:

windows 7 laptop at work
Android tablet at home with the App
mobile site on android phone out and about

ouryve · 03/06/2014 13:43

Usually, I use the desktop site on my windows 7 laptop, at home.

Occasionally, I use the desktop site in Safari on my iPad. I've given up on the app and the screen is big enough not to need the mobile site.

Out and about, I use the mobile site on my windows phone. It occcasionally reverts to the desktop site, so I have to scroll right down,
make it really big, then click the tiny link to the mobile site.

I'd be happy to test on any of these platforms.

Pointeshoes · 03/06/2014 13:44

I'd be happy to help too.

I use my iPad mostly on just the normal site. But I can use phone with android if needed for the mobile site.
Have PC which runs on windows 8.1.

TheSpottedZebra · 03/06/2014 13:45

I'll test.

70% of the time I use the desktop site on a Mac, using OS X.
The rest of the time I use the Android app on a Samsung Galaxy 4 mobile, switching to the mobile site when the app's a bit slow.

Tidypidy · 03/06/2014 13:50

Count me in too! I use app on apple iPhone or occasionally use desktop site on windows 8.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 03/06/2014 13:56

AGnu · 03/06/2014 13:56

Me too!

I use the mobile & desktop sites regularly. Windows 8 on the laptop & an android phone. I've got the app as well but didn't really take to it straight away & I'm too lazy to take time figuring out how to do all the things I already know how to do on the mobile/desktop sites anyway!

poshme · 03/06/2014 14:02

Me please!
I usually MN on my iPhone (5 but not iOS 7 yet) on the app, but occasionally on the mobile site on my phone when eg twitter links to a thread.
Sometimes on my PC (windows)
(Hoping I've answered all the questions but I'm on app so can't check Angry)
