No sex, swearing...ERRR....

UNTIL AFTER 9PM?

IMO, this is far to controlling. If I don't want my kids to read something I tell them to go away!

I have to agree w/you there, LGJ, the Judge Flounce flounce thread was one of the best!

MN Hall of Fame, that one.

At least if it echoes it means it's clean...

I usually have 2 screens up anyway so I flick over if I don't want LO to see anything if she comes in the room (else I just minimise the browser).

southeastastra · 01/09/2006 17:59

it's just some words on the thread titles god i sound like mary whitehouse but my son is 12 and can read from miles away

AvaLou · 01/09/2006 18:33

Very true, I've had to start ignoring emails from some friends until I am well and truly alone after I opened one and scrolled down, with DS playing in the room behind me, to see a very, very nasty picture.
I hope he didn't see.
And why would I want to?
Damn I need new friends...

16 y-o DD found me on the bj thread - she was totally grossed out

ocd · 01/09/2006 19:43

i do think thread titile are much more explicit now than they used to be.
peopel were more uraded
i rememrb when i put bloody in a titile adn relaly felt daring.

i htink theres a half way house here
title can be less risque so you cna browse the whoel window wihtout clicking madly

SoupDragon · 01/09/2006 20:13

I don't think there should be any sort of watershed but it would be nice if people were thoughtful enough to censor their thread titles - even a few well placed *s are enough. The one that particularly pissed me off was the one about the 4x4 ad which, unnecessarily, had FUCK in capitals in the title.
