Should there be a watershed on MN??

No sex, swearing...ERRR....

UNTIL AFTER 9PM?

IMO, this is far to controlling. If I don't want my kids to read something I tell them to go away!

I'm with you beetroot - a thread could be started after the watershed, but read the next day...wouldn't work and I think we can just about manage to control what our children see on here!

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 11:42

??????????
Has someone suggested there should be one then?

CountessDracula · 01/09/2006 11:42

9pm where?

madmarchhare · 01/09/2006 11:43

No fucking way.

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 11:43

Oh!! The Anal thread...I see...FGS!

nineinchnipples · 01/09/2006 11:45

completely ridiculous imo! watershed if you don't want your children to see don't let them or turn off the computer maybe?? pmsl at the anal and bj thread btw

expatinscotland · 01/09/2006 11:46

No.

It's not my job to police your kids.

WAY too controlling.

Holidaymum · 01/09/2006 11:48

Its in the public domain, posts exist and can be read at any time of day or night.

It is our responsibility as parents to ensure our kids do not read what is innaproriate, it isn't the sites responsibilty so long as the posts are legal.

Close down your browser if you don't want your kids to see or use mumsnet when they are not around.

I do worry about the amount of parents who post constantly, do they have kids at their ankles or on knees? I only post or read when at work and having a quiet few moments. When I'm looking after my kids that is what I do, I save the internet for me time only. Have a horrendous image of ignored toddlers whilst mums mumsnet, I seriously hope this isn't the case sits back and waits for the backlash

ooooh, yes! And then we could censor peoples names too! And make sure that sex is only ever referred to as BD, and no one is ever depressed only " a little bit sad, darhling" and no one's house is a 'midden' and they feel thay should call in social services, because everything is wonderful and sparkly and bright...until someone gets into the basement room and takes all the chips out and Glenn Close's husband turns out to be a robot...

hunkermunker · 01/09/2006 11:54

That kind of thing makes me want to change my name to fuckercunter, but I shan't

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 11:55

hunkermunker · 01/09/2006 11:58

I have

hunkermunker · 01/09/2006 11:59

PMSL though

Was just worried I'd post on a bfeeding thread supportively under that name...!

fullmoonfiend · 01/09/2006 11:59

Holidaymum, just to reassure you, mine aren't toddlers, I've been trying to interact, but ds2 did that 9-yr-old eye rolling thingy at me and said: ''we don't need you to play with us mum, go and make a cake or something...!''

fattiemumma · 01/09/2006 11:59

So very well put holidaymum.

though oi had to LOL when i read.."i Mn whilst at wor" and then " i save it for ME time"

so work is ME time??? pmsl

but yuo were absolutly right. we were discussing the Anal thread last night at a very late hour....doesn't stop youall comeing on here now and looking does it?

If your kids are old enough to read the screen they are old enough to be told...Bugger off. or words to that effect

hunkermunker · 01/09/2006 12:01

Oh my toddler's often ignored while I MN. It helps his development. I do play with him too. But not all the time - what kind of pandered to limpwrist would I be raising if I was always in his face?!

Cuntroot · 01/09/2006 12:01

all my kids are in their PJ's watching TV or snorting glue
