I've seen no "twats", either metaphorical, or literal, on the sex threads, just coherent, strong argument in favour of discussion and some great humour at times.

I notice that the anti-sex brigade didn't answer some of the rebuttals and counter questions to their protests on the sex threads. Perhaps they'd care to elaborate on a special "Sexuality shaming" thread? Then they can get together some really good insults going and hopefully make the "sex positive" posters among us shut up and creep back into the woodwork.

Yes but sometimes it's wrong. because apparently I'm a name changer (which I have been in the past) and a troll (which I am not) and I'm being discussed at the moment somewhere on Mumsnet.

Which has got me upset really. I've actually given out my real name in the past and recently and have mumsnet people as friends on facebook and twitter.

So I'm going to leave. not staying somewhere people think im a troll.

I know you are not a troll. There are people on here who get terribly possessive about the site and think that being on here for years and years makes them some kind of authority and expert. In fact it it something to perhaps be a tad embarrassed about (speaking for myself here too ).

It's not the point, how busy it was. I have never typed out my immediately previous NN under a post in my current name. I have revealed the one before last, so I have not outed myself, like I was last night.

Am I the only one who finds the in-fighting, "fucks offs", references to past threads and name changes, suggestions that MN was better in the old days and new posters aren't as good or as 'MN' as longer standing posters leave a worse taste in the mouth than some of the troll threads?

Dipping in an out of these threads over the past few few days. Something feels very fighty and bitchy over the past couple of weeks

I cannot speak for everyone but I have had some interesting conversations on this thread and spoken to posters I have not engaged with before. I didn't think it was all bad. But then again I am naïve
