Do you think it's time to start a sexuality shaming topic?

For all those who want us to shut up and not to help and laugh with others about sex?

Maybe we could keep the censorious ness and the comments of "what is wrong with people?"

"This is pathetic"

"Why do you need/want to talk about this?"

I've seen no "twats", either metaphorical, or literal, on the sex threads, just coherent, strong argument in favour of discussion and some great humour at times.

I notice that the anti-sex brigade didn't answer some of the rebuttals and counter questions to their protests on the sex threads. Perhaps they'd care to elaborate on a special "Sexuality shaming" thread? Then they can get together some really good insults going and hopefully make the "sex positive" posters among us shut up and creep back into the woodwork.

Has it got legs, do you think?

Oh the irony of a poster accusing another poster of insecurity of debate and then continuing to bang on and being far more coarse in the process than anybody on the 'sex thread' was/is.

TequilaMockingbirdy · 18/05/2014 21:22

Well Satan we may as well just shut down every single debate on this sodding forum then - it's got nothing to do with being secure or the opposite. I could probably say the same for those who are that bothered by women discussing sex that they'd like to shove them in a sub forum. That doesn't sound very secure does it?

We have feminist debates - are feminists insecure then because they want to debate their views?

Same for politics, animal rights... anything!

I really did think your spreadsheet (and other's who mention such things) was actually real

Mignonette · 18/05/2014 21:28

A hard core of Mumsnetters- nope. Last nights was the first sex thread I do believe I have posted on because I was genuinely interested in the debate with the other MNers who are able to talk about sex in the same way - openly and within the context of female agency. And the facial ejaculation thread is NOT a troll thread.

We are all consenting adults unlike the offspring/relatives/friends of those MNers who post very detailed and intimate info regarding them. THAT seems to be okay though. Each to their very hypocritical own.

I agree with mig, probably because I've also worked in forensics.

FunnyFoot · 18/05/2014 21:29

I don't hold grudges on here or in rl. It gets you know where plus for all I may disagree with a poster on one thread I find myself agreeing with the same poster on a different thread. So pretty pointless baring a grudge really.

Sparklingbrook · 18/05/2014 21:30

I used to have a little notebook but now my spreadsheet is in my head. Grin

TequilaMockingbirdy · 18/05/2014 21:30

funnyfoot

same.

I've been arguing with someone on one thread then having Wine with them in another.

It's all in my head.

But then the buggers NC.

Mignonette · 18/05/2014 21:36

I never remember beyond the end of the posting time.

Life has taught me enough to know that you are probably best to 'cross the road' to avoid anybody so invested that they carry grudges across the site. They are highly likely to be a bit of a stunned mullet IRL.

FunnyFoot she updates her NC spreadsheet regularly and publicly on MN. She had an abortive attempt last night, starting with using my previous NN, accidentally on purpose.

As for why people agree with BOF and "abuse" you for similar opinions, well, it's all about the tone. Yours is vile on here, along with Satans. The venom is present in abundant amounts.

No one would knowingly pander to a sex trolls; that is untrue, people just said that they didn't care and didn't know. I don't know what made you think that was the case. After the fart thread was deleted, people just said "who cares?", not "I knew". Why would you invent that?
