"Add a Message

It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

HarpsichordCarrier · 08/08/2006 08:33

F me, I am quoted in the Guardian!

looking like mp's dull and worthy cousin, natch
god this is a strange old turn of events.

Trixiebelle · 08/08/2006 08:36

MORNING MUMSNETTERS :O

WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST FROM THE GALS OVER ON BMC!!!

(MORNING LEECE!)

LadyTophamHatt · 08/08/2006 08:38

I told Dh about all this when it all started, trying to explain how much of a big deal it was.

He really didn't understand.

I told him again yesterday, showing the message from MNHQ

He still didn't really get it.

When he just go up I told him how many papers have run the story, big proper newspapers too!!

"God!....Really?.....are you going to buy them??

He finally gets it!!

tigermoth · 08/08/2006 08:39

furball

got up early too - so pleased to see mumsnet has 'come out' at long last. And think Justine's quotes give a very fair view of things. No outright attack on .....

Hope the site won't crash due to all the extra traffic today.

And so glad I am not at work today.

Do you think, as mumsnetters, if we post online comments on the articles in the newspapers that these will get mumsnet into more trouble? If I give my email address, this will be the same address I have for mumsnet.

JoshuaandChloesmummy · 08/08/2006 08:39

FANTASTIC!! Well done everyone!! This is great!

loujay · 08/08/2006 08:39

Good morning MN!!!
I am proud to be a member of this site, you lot have helped me numerous times and have made me laugh more than I can count.
We are a community and heaven help anyone who messes with us!!
I have signed the petition and have thrown away the book, anything else I can do??

saltire · 08/08/2006 08:42

Tigermoth, you could always write a letter to the paper commenting on their news articles. Many people do this, especially with all the turmoil going on in the world, and if you feel strongly enough about ANY article or news story they have printed then you can write to them and comment on it!

meowmix · 08/08/2006 08:42

Blimey ladies - news of this is even in the Gulf Times (daily paper in Qatar). I almost choked on my cornflakes.

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:42

Tigermoth, surely we all ought to post to comment on the online articles? Surely it wouldn't get mn into trouble?

flashingnose · 08/08/2006 08:43

lol meowmix

Trixiebelle · 08/08/2006 08:44

Which papers (apart from The Gulf Times!) do I need to rush out and buy this morning

Blackduck · 08/08/2006 08:44

Was going to suggest we are respond to the articles by writing letters...www you beat me to it.......

katierocket · 08/08/2006 08:45

Awesome - great coverage. I really hope this helps and doesn't inflame the situation further with nobody.

And remmeber folks - no mentioning nobody by name.

FrannyandZooey · 08/08/2006 08:45

The articles are all wonderful - hope you are all feeling proud and that MN Towers feel a sense of vindication this morning

GeorginaA · 08/08/2006 08:47

I'm tempted to get the Daily Mail for the first time ever just to frame that headline

This is FANTASTIC!!

meowmix · 08/08/2006 08:52

www.gulf-times.com - it'll make it to the site in a few days I suspect. Its the evening Standard piece Oi rekkon.

wow. nobody's famous in the gulf. Probably as well that they don't use MPs quote in the article....

Tutter · 08/08/2006 08:56

DH texted me from the tube this morning about the metro article

SenoraPostrophe · 08/08/2006 08:57

tigermoth! have taken some paranoia pills today or what? nobody except HQ (and people you've emailed) know your mn email address and anyway it's hardly a crime to comment on an article that's about something you're a member of.

Or is this absurd interpretation of the law somehow catching?

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:59

lol senora at 'absurd interpretation catching'! ha ha ha

morningpaper · 08/08/2006 09:03

My poor 70 year-old mother is very nervous and says that she isn't going to look after the children if I'm sent to prison.
