It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

I think you have all done a great job here. Some of the press articles are just classic. Did you ever think you'd be being quoted in the national press morningpaper?

This is from nobody's non-website:

"Users/Members are reminded that where NAME REMOVED makes at any time chatrooms and forums available to users/Members, these are for public discussion. Any personal information supplied by users/Members during these discussions is widely accessible. NAME REMOVED is not responsible for the content posted by users/Members using such services."

So, how then can our cherished Mumsnet be responsible?

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2006 08:01

gobsmacked doesnt even cover it really does it. So if people were to discuss certain things in a cafe etc would this be a certain voldermorts reply to banish free thinking?

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:02

Er I wonder whether this is a good idea or not but should someone start a thread listing links to all the articles? Just for ease of reference were any other journalists to want to read them? I'm a bit scared to!

PMSL at the Daily Mail today - 'The baby guru who threw her toys out of the pram' and a box headed 'Ford's Formula'. Hysterical! Do you think her PR team tried to tell her gunning for mothers could just possibly backfire, at all?

mummydear · 08/08/2006 08:05

Well done to all those MN who emailed etc yesterday, hope MN towers are a bit better this morning.

Need to start a fund to pay into if this does kick off.

edam · 08/08/2006 08:10

Arfish, is her ISP Pipex, or Netfusion? And love the post pointing out the disclaimer on her own site. Hah!

SherlockLGJ · 08/08/2006 08:11

WWW

Just about to go to work, so unable to oblige, will CAT you when I get back at 12.30 and if no one else has done it, I will do it.

trice · 08/08/2006 08:12

I have picked the book out of the bin just so I could enjoy throwing it in again. It wouldn't fit through the shredder.

Good work everybody. keep up the fight.

Blackduck · 08/08/2006 08:15

Metro had a tiny article too...

flack · 08/08/2006 08:15

Mumsnet home page (text of the gray box disclaimor) is No. 5 on the organic links on Google, now. I think that could have nearly as much effect as all the news articles. Heeheeheee.

earlgrey · 08/08/2006 08:17

I wonder where the Daily Telegraph stands on this - for even mentioning the debate.

leece · 08/08/2006 08:18

Its truely a great day for the little people. Well done to all mums netters who didnt take this lying down.

Freedom of speech

Much love

Leece (BMC)

Uwila · 08/08/2006 08:20

So.... has evryone paid the for the CAT facility? I was just thinking that mumsnet will surely need our support. It's only a fiver. Would it be too much to ask everyone to as least pay their CAT membership???

Hi Leece

MrsBadger · 08/08/2006 08:25

just got to work, but heard 'What the Papers Say' on R4 Today in the car where they mentioned the article from the Telegraph that describes her as 'stamping her foot'.

I now apologise for any distress I may have caused other drivers on the A34 as I whooped and hooted hysterically and hence wrong-laned myself at the Botley roundabout
