"Add a Message

It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

The whole situation stinks. Very sorry for MN. And a sad day for free speech.

merrily · 06/08/2006 23:05

Agree with edam. Sad day for free speech...

and

very

edam · 06/08/2006 23:26

Outrageous. And ironic that it's been caused by someone who works as an expert in behaviour, for heaven's sake.

fattiemumma · 06/08/2006 23:31

i mentioned no names!!!

my post was regarding freedom of speech and the misues of the word expert.

utterly disgusted that such editing of a public forum should be enforced.
I am happily typing my comments in a letter to the solicitors mentioned and am more than happy to face the consequences.
I am sure the sun would be hapy to run a story on the demise of free speech!.....even if they are a tatty tabloid no doubt they will raise an enormouse amount of awarness

Moomin · 06/08/2006 23:35

OUTRAGEOUS
this stinks, it absolutely stinks. and i really feel for those posters who have been named in that shitty letter

aitch71 · 06/08/2006 23:35

wow, that is really shocking. i haven't been coming here long but from what i've seen there are fans and there are detractors, equally capable of making their cases. what a shame.

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 23:40

Justine - have emailed MN re the deleted messages - something I needed to point out.

Thanks

glassofwine · 06/08/2006 23:42

MNHQ - is there anything we can do to help other than refraining from further discussion. Petition? publicity? Anything to help?
