I'm afraid the answer is the same as it has always been - here is Justine's response from last October's webchat

"Same old answer really - we think there's a danger of mucho confusion - missing posts etc. We are a discussion site that allows differing and unpopular opinions so it just doesn't feel very Mumsnet."

Of course there's a difference between someone who you just find annoying (which we can't do much about) and someone who you think is deliberately posting to inflame, or who you think is targetting you deliberately. Please flag anything like this up to us - we're always happy to take a look.
