Women presumably who don't have a certain sense of humour, or don't agree with certain (long standing) posters being described as beige admin workers who nag their ugly husbands, who were friendless at school, wear cheap clothes, have no fun in their sad little joyless lives etc etc Literally paragraphs and paragraphs of nastiness.

This is some of the most vile and misogynistic stuff I have ever read on MN from other women. These kind of comments normally come from trolls and MRA invasions. Is this really what MN has become? Does everyone think that this sort of shit should stand? What happened to the fucking sisterhood?

I am astounded to be quite honest.

are you in the bugger culture? thats the one I'm interested in, can you get me an invite?

rhondajean · 30/03/2013 12:37

I'd just like to be cultured at all , though as I am currently in the cheese aisle if sainsburys losing the will to live its highly unlikely

EchoBitch · 30/03/2013 12:38

Can you grow your own buggers in a culture?

Would it be a peaty soil or a loamy one?

YellowandGreenandRedandBlue · 30/03/2013 12:39

Mis A already said why she didn't always respond/fight.

KatieScarlett2833 · 30/03/2013 12:40

I tried the bugger culture once and TBH, it was not for me Grin

Portofino · 30/03/2013 12:40

Not sure about the bugger culture.....I am in the Benelux MNetters FB group ....I don't think you would find that especially useful though

There is a riveting chat ensuing there about the clocks going forward....

Agar agar.

In little petri dishes.

Grow your own buggers, there must be a market for it. Smile

MissAnnersley · 30/03/2013 12:43

I don't mind you asking at all. I don't have a lot of courage or emotional reserves in RL.

On here I try really hard not to be like that but it doesn't always work for me. Although it does sometimes.

Genuinely my problem and I wouldn't think to put that on the shoulders of anyone on here.

Hullygully · 30/03/2013 12:45

oh

Hullygully · 30/03/2013 12:46

that wasn't to you miss a!

thanks for answering, that is hard for you

MissAnnersley · 30/03/2013 12:46

Sorry, that sounded really pathetic. Am off out for lunch and will probably have lots of wine.

May try posting later as an experiment. Grin

KatieScarlett2833 · 30/03/2013 12:46

Mmmm curry sounds good.
Not before buggery though, afterwards might be advisable Grin

MissAnnersley · 30/03/2013 12:49

Buggery and curry don't mix. Or so I've heard.

Hello

Thanks for all the reports about this thread; we've removed posts that seem to us to be personal attacks, although as ever do please let us know if you think we've missed some.

LoopaDaLoopa · 30/03/2013 13:16

I know that it was many hours ago, and the thread has moved on (Buggery curry?!) but can anyone please explain why my post was deleted?

I didn't attack anyone, my post was measured and sensible. Confused

LoopaDaLoopa · 30/03/2013 13:17

Rowan, could you please clarify my point above? I made absolutely certain there was nothing that could be construed as a personal attack in my post. It seems that either I am unable to ascertain your definition of a personal attack, or that MNHQ want to erase any posts where people point out that bullying does exist on this site.

Bother, I've forgotten how to make tumbleweed.

Shock

I'm truly astonished by some of the things I've read here.

For me, I think the most telling thing of all is that people like Hully were sent e-mails by MNHQ asking them to back off posting joke threads.

This is the absolute crux of the matter and is the really concerning bit about the 'state of the nation'.

Consils · 30/03/2013 14:21

Which thread are we talking about?

cestlesautres · 30/03/2013 14:36

Links to the thread and clues as to its whereabouts are being deleted, Consil.

QuickLookBusy · 30/03/2013 14:42

BIWI To be fair to MNHQ, iirc they did admit they could have worded their emails better. I think they said they had been inundated with reports about other threads and these were taking up a lot of time. They therefore didn't want "spoof" threads adding to their workload.

Though why anyone would report a thread about spoons, is beyond me. (And I'm still concerned about Roger, we didn't hear the end of that particular story)
