I don't make cakes because I can't be arsed.

We only ever defected once, with a Tesco Willy Wonka cake.

As with Maryz, there was nearly a riot. Not worth the hassle.

I must just add, has anyone else been completely and utterly fooled by the M&S advert for their chocolate with spices and orange 'hot cross' buns ?

No Shame at all. I'm rather impressed.

I'm a mediocre baker. But agreed to to the cake as my lovely friend is the sort who would buy the ingredients switch on the oven, then run away screaming till she found Gin.

She doesn't particularly cook but is a marvellous guest as will eat anything.

Oh, I know that, Maryz. [busmile] I bought some cranberry and orange ones thinking "hmm, they look naice". I don't like 'normal' ones, so I thought I'd give one of those a whirl.

Not. DH and DS demolished the lot Friday afternoon. Gits.

And the chocolate ones ? They look normal sized on the ads, you know, like you expect a bun to be ?

Feckin' diddy things they are. 9 in a pack. I think 3 probably equates to one.

Farrow and ball

Pretty much everything I eat is roasted (Unless it's pasta n sauce). I pick whatever I fancy having, plonk it on an oven tray, squirt it with spray oil, then put it in the oven until its hot and looks a bit brown round the edges. Sometimes I go mad and sprinkle a random selection of dried herbs on the top.

I'm a shit cook at the best of times but I accidentally washed the markings off my oven a few years ago so all recipes/instructions are immaterial now anyway.

I don't like raisins, they have bits. Can just about manage sultanas.

I am partial to a pain au chocolat, though.

See, the idea of slow cookers gives me the gips. I hate stew and all "food soup" type meals. Food should require teeth. It should not be cooked until it can be gummed.

Did we ever find out which song JT stole from CS?

I still cant remember, I've tried googling, but apparently there wad some bloody song called stolen, so I keep getting that, I'll keep ttying

The Carly Simon thing/James Taylor thing Carole King wrote You've Got a Friend but let James Taylor record it and he as my mil says "had the hit of it" and it caused bad feeling between them for a while. Now it is entirely likely that I have got this wrong but BBC 4 did this fab James Taylor night a few years ago and it always stuck in my head.
